About Paxos

Today’s financial infrastructure is archaic, expensive, inefficient and risky — supporting a system that leaves out more people than it lets in. So we’re rebuilding it.

We’re on a mission to open the world’s financial system to everyone by enabling the instant movement of any asset, any time, in a trustworthy way. For over a decade, we’ve built blockchain infrastructure that tokenizes, custodies, trades and settles assets for the world’s leading financial institutions, like PayPal, Venmo, Mastercard and Interactive Brokers.

About the role

In this role, you'll partner closely with the Head of Product and Commercial teams to understand customer use cases for payments and utility products for Stablecoins, translating them into solutions that drive adoption and create seamless, efficient use cases. You will direct the product strategy and OKRs for a cross-functional team of talented colleagues, leading the development of innovative payment solutions that align with our mission to modernize the financial system.

What you’ll do

  • Own the Product Strategy and Direction for Payments and Utility: You’ll develop a deep understanding of payment challenges and opportunities, contribute evidence-based perspectives, and collaborate with leadership to define the roadmap to achieve our vision.
  • Build and scale cutting-edge Stablecoin solutions that meet the needs of businesses and consumers. Identify market trends, customer pain points, and industry gaps to ensure our payment products lead the market in usability, scalability, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with our largest enterprise clients, payment processors, and financial institutions to understand their needs and enable stablecoin adoption for their use cases.
  • Partner with commercial teams to drive adoption, revenue growth, and operational success for Paxos’ offerings. Define success metrics and ensure alignment across technical, commercial, and regulatory teams to achieve growth targets.
  • Leverage your leadership and communication skills to foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing product team. Contribute to building a strong product team culture and improving processes that accelerate delivery and drive results.

About you

  • 12+ years in a Product Management role, ideally at a B2B software company
  • Proven experience leading product strategy for payment solutions, fintech, or blockchain-based products.
  • Strong understanding of payments infrastructure, including payment rails, cross-border payments, and settlement processes.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer-centric solutions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with technical, commercial, and regulatory teams.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills to influence stakeholders and drive action.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale products and grow revenue in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for blockchain technology and its potential to transform payments and financial services.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
