As a Product Owner at Beam Benefits, you'll define and execute product strategies, enhance operations, collaborate cross-functionally, and analyze product performance to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction.

We are seeking a Product Owner to support strategic initiatives by bridging Business Operations, Engineering, and Insurance Product Management. Your role will be to define and deliver product solutions that balance operational efficiency, enterprise partner needs, and user experience, ultimately contributing to Beam’s strategic and financial growth.
This role requires comfort working in both enterprise SaaS and custom development environments. You’ll often collaborate directly with external partners and must be able to balance structured product practices with real-world flexibility. What You Will Do:
- Product Ownership & Execution:
- Define and execute product initiatives that contribute to operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and workflow automation to enhance digital and operational capabilities.
- Develop and manage product roadmaps that align with business objectives and operational needs.
- Work with Business Operations to translate strategic priorities into actionable product initiatives and measurable KPIs. Work across both standardized product development and custom enterprise implementations, adapting delivery models and timelines to meet varied partner needs
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between enterprise partners and internal teams (e.g. Business Ops, Engineering, Insurance Product Management, and Data), ensuring alignment on goals, delivery expectations, and execution across varied work streams.
- Partner with Finance, Sales, and Customer Success teams to understand business needs and drive initiatives that support customer acquisition and retention.
- Work closely with the Insurance Product team to ensure product strategies align with underwriting rules, actuarial models, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering to ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with business needs.
- Operational & Digital Enhancement:
- Analyze product performance data and user feedback to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Support initiatives to optimize operational processes and leverage digital tools to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, refining workflows, digital experiences, and AI strategies.
- Step into high-impact work across strategy and execution in a lean environment, driving progress even amid ambiguity.
- Performance Monitoring & Impact Measurement:
- Track and analyze key product and business metrics, such as customer engagement, operational efficiency, and conversion rates.
- Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on data-driven analysis.
- Assist in planning and managing product releases, ensuring timely delivery.
What Skills Will Help You Be Successful
- 3+ years of experience in product management, business operations, or a related field.
- Experience in insurance, insuretech, or fintechStrong understanding of business processes, customer needs, and digital product development.
- Strong ability to define and negotiate Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), balancing partner needs, technical constraints, and business priorities.
- Ability to think end-to-end across business processes, connecting operational workflows to user needs, product design, and technical implementation.
- Ability to analyze data and leverage insights to drive product decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with UI/UX best practices, CRM systems, or automation tools is helpful but not required
