About the Role:
We are seeking a tax planning expert — ideally a CPA — to join our growing product team. You’ll play a critical role in defining and bringing to life advanced planning solutions for financial advisors, from initial concept through delivery. This is not a traditional tax role. Instead, you’ll apply your deep technical expertise to shape intuitive, impactful software tools that advisors will use every day. You’ll work cross-functionally with design, legal, engineering, and our go-to-market teams to turn your knowledge of tax planning into world-class products.
What You’ll Do:
- Shape the roadmap: Identify key tax planning pain points and opportunities for advisors serving HNW and UHNW clients.
- Ideate solutions: Translate complex tax strategies into intuitive workflows and calculators that advisors can use to deliver value.
- Guide product design: Collaborate with designers to wireframe and prototype experiences that simplify intricate tax concepts.
- Drive execution: Partner with engineers to ensure the solutions we build are accurate, scalable, and advisor-friendly.
- Test and refine: Help validate product concepts through user interviews, prototypes, and beta programs.
- Champion quality: Ensure that all tax calculations, outputs, and educational content meet rigorous technical standards
What We’re Looking For:
- A strong background in tax planning, ideally as a CPA, EA, or JD with significant tax experience.
- Deep expertise in areas such as income tax optimization, entity planning, charitable strategies, wealth transfer techniques, or business owner tax planning.
- Experience within an advanced planning team at a wealth management firm, or a tax-focused software company (e.g. Intuit QuickBooks) where you helped translate tax expertise into products or workflows.
- Passion for simplifying complex concepts into user-friendly tools.
- Excellent communication skills — you can explain advanced tax strategies to engineers, designers, and non-experts alike.
- A collaborative mindset with excitement about building something new.
Why You'll Love Working for wealth.com
- Competitive Salary.
- Fully remote, flexible work environment. We do however meet together in person several times a year.
- Full medical and dental benefits.
- Unlimited PTO in an environment where taking time off to relax or recharge is supported and encouraged.
- Paid Parental Leave.
- Company equity managed through Carta.
- 401k with Match and 100% vesting upon hire.
- Free estate planning!
