Working with Product Management and technology partners, you will translate business problems into prioritized, testable requirements and guide improvements from discovery through delivery, adoption, and evaluation.
The ideal candidate will have experience owning a Salesforce platform and leading technical teams to build automations, reporting, and integrations for that platform.

What You'll Do:

Product Strategy and Roadmap

  • Partner with Product Management to refine and execute the roadmap for client-management workflows and Salesforce capabilities, with agreed business outcomes and success measures.
  • Work with Sales, Operations, Relationship managers, and other business partners to understand client needs and identify opportunities to improve client onboarding and ongoing client management.
  • Set team priorities and delivery sequencing based on client and user impact, business value, operational risk, dependencies, and delivery effort.
  • Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs to business and technology stakeholders, using feedback and results to inform future priorities.

Integration Product Ownership

  • Own Salesforce integration priorities, requirements, and delivery across banking systems and enterprise applications.
  • Defining data flows, systems of record, interface requirements, and acceptance criteria with business and technical partners.
  • Evaluate API, event-driven, and batch integration approaches with engineering and architecture, balancing business needs, security, and platform constraints.
  • Drive integration readiness through end-to-end testing, failure recovery, data reconciliation, monitoring, and clear support ownership.
  • Manage integration dependencies and changes, assess downstream impacts, and prioritize reliability improvements using production results.

Backlog and Agile Delivery

  • Create, maintain, prioritize, and refine the product backlog, including features, user stories, defects, technical enablers, production issues, and technical debt.
  • Break features items into actionable user stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure sprint goals are clearly defined and aligned with business and technical priorities.
  • Validate that workflows, technical designs, wireframes, or prototypes are reviewed before development begins.
  • Own feature delivery from discovery through requirements, development, testing, acceptance, release, production validation, and post-release feedback.

Stakeholder and Customer Interaction

  • Represent customer and partner integration needs during product planning and technical discussions.
  • Gather feedback from business stakeholders to continuously improve usability and product capability.
  • Communicate complex technical topics in a clear, practical way to both technical and nontechnical audiences.

Vendor, Risk, and Operational Management

  • Monitor vendors release calendars, technical changes, release notes, enhancements, defects, and new platform capabilities.
  • Assess vendor or platform changes for business, operational, technical, compliance, and integration impacts.
  • Ensure product documentation, release notes, support guides, operational procedures, and user guides are maintained.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role in an Agile environment.
  • Experience owning and working with the Salesforce platform.
  • Experience translating business and client needs into technical requirements, user stories, process flows, and testable acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders and business context to technical teams.
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar backlog and product management tools.
  • Strong analytical, prioritization, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to enhance product discovery, analysis, documentation, and delivery processes preferred.
  • CSPO, SAFe POPM, PSPO, or comparable product management certification a plus.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
