Leidos is seeking a passionate and results-driven Product Owner to lead and manage a portfolio of technology-enabled continuous improvement initiatives in support of our internal operations and Department of Defense (DoD) customers. This role will focus on delivering impactful process improvements through the application of Splunk capabilities and insights, automation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML) technologies.

As a key member of our team, you will manage product development workflows in ADO and help operationalize solutions that drive measurable value. Your work will align with Scaled Agile and Scrum methodologies to ensure disciplined, data-driven progress across initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

Core Product Ownership:

  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog using Jira and/or Azure DevOps to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and strategic objectives
  • Write clear, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria that enable development teams to deliver value incrementally
  • Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap that supports the transition from reactive to proactive network management
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Requirements Management:
    • Partner with solution architects, software developers, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements
    • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with internal operations teams and Department of Defense (DoD) customers
    • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clear communication of priorities and expectations
    • Conduct regular stakeholder reviews and demos to gather feedback and validate solution direction
    • Manage competing priorities and make data-driven decisions on feature prioritization
  • Agile Framework Participation:
    • Actively participate as a key member of the Agile Release Train (ART) and contribute to Program Increment (PI) planning activities
    • Support Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) ceremonies including PI planning, system demos, and inspect and adapt workshops
    • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
    • Collaborate with other Product Owners and stakeholders during cross-team dependency planning and resolution
  • Technology Solutions and Process Improvement:
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on Splunk capabilities, including dashboard development, alerting optimization, and data analytics enhancement
    • Support the implementation and optimization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions for operational improvements
    • Identify automation opportunities that reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency
    • Champion the adoption of proactive monitoring and predictive analytics solutions
    • Ensure successful delivery of technology solutions that drive measurable business value and operational improvements
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Ensure all product decisions and implementations comply with DoD security requirements and organizational policies
    • Maintain active Secret security clearance and handle classified information in accordance with established protocols

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business, Information Systems).
  • 8+ years of combined experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role with Agile teams.
  • Experience managing work in Azure DevOps or Jira and familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance, is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Experience working in or supporting government or defense sector clients.
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma.

Pay Range:Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
