At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

Our Team

The Ads Platform team builds the advertising systems and integrations that powers the delivery of ads using our world class content delivery ecosystem. We deliver ads in a manner that’s thoughtful of our member experience and drive great outcomes for advertisers. We also ensure that advertiser brand safety is ensured during serving, members only see the most appropriate ads for them and Netflix’s advertising policies and contracts are thoroughly enforced.

Our team is faced with the ambitions of building highly performant advertising systems and delivering high impact to our business by monetizing our incredible slate of content. As one of the newest entrants in the Connected TV advertising space that’s rapidly growing, we seek to build unique value propositions that help us differentiate from the competition and become a market leader in record time.

The Ads Product Operations team sits inside the Netflix Advertising team and owns the operating layer for Product, often bridging the boundary to Engineering and Design teams. Our team focuses on: How work gets prioritized, how decisions get made and tracked, and how teams stay aligned as the ads business scales. The team designs and maintains the frameworks, tooling, and artifacts that keep that organization running, and is now extending that mandate to agentic AI as core operational infrastructure.

The Ads Product Operations team is searching for a technical, operational expert who is highly organized and execution-driven in the product management space. You bring deep curiosity and hands-on proficiency with agentic tools, and a strong sense of ownership for driving successful operational practices.

What you'll be doing

  • Enable the agentic transformation of the product development lifecycle as part of the Product Operations team.

  • Modernize the core components of the lifecycle (discovery, planning, ideation, validation, and engineering collaboration) through agentic leverage.

  • Author, ship, and maintain the plugins, skills, and integrations that product teams use every day.

  • Land AI proficiency across the product organization through onboarding, hands-on labs, office hours, reusable enablement content, and a network of power users and champions.

  • Evaluate agentic plugin and skill efficacy on an ongoing basis, monitor for drift as the underlying models evolve, and consolidate, refresh, or retire tooling accordingly.

  • Steward the operating frameworks the organization runs on, keeping standards clear, reporting trustworthy, and work transparent across Product and Engineering.

  • Partner with Product Management, TPM, Engineering, Data Science, Design, and XD to embed agentic practice into everyday product work.

We're seeking a candidate who has:
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Operations, Product/Program Management, Software Engineering, Engineering Operations, or a closely related discipline, with a track record of operational change programs that measurably shifted how teams work.

  • Deep understanding of how product managers and engineering teams collaborate, where the lifecycle breaks down, and what good looks like in an Enterprise B2B product environment.

  • Working proficiency with GitHub and Git workflows (branches, pull requests, code review, versioned collaboration), with enough technical fluency to read code, follow an architecture conversation, and reason about APIs and data.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with modern agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or comparable) and mult-agent workflows as core daily infrastructure rather than a novelty. You use these tools to do your own work solving real problems and build scalable systems, not just to evaluate them.

  • Deep curiosity about the fast-moving AI landscape with a focus on productivity and solving business problems: you track developments from AI labs, practitioners, and experts, and bring ideas back to the team to fold into how we operate.

  • Hands-on experience authoring agentic capability beyond prompting: skills, plugins, agents, or equivalent.

  • Working fluency in the systems and data infrastructure involved in how AI agents consume and act on content (embeddings, RAG, retrieval quality, context windows, prompt design), enough to collaborate with engineering partners.

  • Experience defining and applying evals and quality benchmarks for agentic capabilities and iterating based on measured outcomes.

  • Proven ability to drive organizational change through hands-on enablement, advocacy, and the instrumentation to prove it landed: defining metrics, standing up reporting, and distinguishing activity from outcome.

  • Strong judgment about where automation and process belongs, applying process to the outcomes that benefit from it rather than defaulting to it, with the credibility to hold that line with stakeholders.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics and influence across Product, Engineering, and executive audiences.

  • Proven ability to operate as an individual contributor, driving outcomes independently and influencing cross-functional teams (especially PM and Eng) without direct authority.

  • Experience in advertising technology or a comparable Enterprise B2B platform business is preferred.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
