Position Summary
As a Product Marketing Manager at Aventon, you’re the product marketing expert at the core of the Aventon narrative. Positioned at the intersection of Product, Creative, and Brand Strategy, you will collaborate directly with the Brand Director to steer the future of our award-winning lineup. This is arguably the most influential seat in the house, where raw engineering transforms into a compelling lifestyle brand.
What You’ll Do:
- Translate complex product specifications into clear, compelling, customer-focused messaging.
- Develop and execute product marketing strategies that align with brand, product, and sales objectives.
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure cohesive product positioning, storytelling, and successful launches.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain product positioning, messaging, and copy for each model.
- Collaborate with U.S. and international teams to ensure alignment and localization across markets.
- Define launch strategies, including target audience, messaging, objectives, and KPIs.
- Align product marketing plans with brand, product, and sales calendars.
- Lead GTM readiness and cross-functional coordination from product samples to content and creative delivery.
- Ensure all deliverables support a successful and timely launch.
- Create sales tools including presentations, one-pagers, POP materials, and training content.
- Support dealer and B2B partner education and engagement.
- Develop and review product-related copy across marketing channels.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across all consumer-facing materials.
- Monitor product performance metrics (sell-through, conversion, traffic).
- Conduct post-launch analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with product, sales, customer service, and marketing teams to ensure alignment.
- Support production timelines, including sample tracking and launch readiness.
- Support and participate in product launches, trade shows, events, and on-site photo/video shoots.
- Lead or assist with product demonstrations across digital and in-person channels.
- Provide insights to Product Management for future enhancements, updates, and new product development.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5+ years of product marketing experience supporting consumer products, including product launches, go-to-market strategy, positioning, and messaging development.
- Experience working with consumer products; experience in cycling, outdoor, or lifestyle brands is a plus.
- Strong understanding of go-to-market strategy, product positioning, and lifecycle marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into customer-friendly messaging.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, creative, sales, and operations teams.
- Comfortable working with data and analytics to inform decisions and measure performance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; familiarity with marketing tools and analytics platforms is a plus.
- Willingness to travel and participate in events, product demos, and on-site shoots.
- Ability to ride and demonstrate bicycles is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience marketing consumer durable goods.
- Experience in cycling, mobility, outdoor recreation, fitness, or lifestyle brands.
- Familiarity with ecommerce marketing and DTC business models.
- Experience supporting dealer or retail sales channels.
- Experience conducting customer and competitive research.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to operate standard office equipment, including keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other technology.
- Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the phone, in presentations, and in writing.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and move between departments, event spaces, and on-site shoot locations.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (such as product samples, marketing materials, or shoot equipment).
- Ability to safely ride and demonstrate bicycles for product testing, demos, and content shoots.
- Work is performed primarily in an in-office, climate-controlled environment.
- Regular on-site presence required for photo and video shoots, which may involve extended periods of standing, walking, and working in indoor and outdoor environments with varying weather conditions.
- May occasionally work in warehouse, showroom, or outdoor environments during product demos, events, trade shows, and on-site photo and video shoots.
- Regular use of standard office equipment; noise level is typically low to moderate but may increase during shoots or events.
- Regular work hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility required to meet deadlines, support product launches, attend shoots, and accommodate travel schedules.
- Travel may be required for on-site photo and video shoots, trade shows, dealer visits, and other company events.
