Title: Product Marketing Manager

Location: United States (Remote)

Experience: Mid-Level

Job Function: Marketing

Employment Type: Full-time

Industry: Computer & Network Security

About the position

As machine identities multiply, cryptographic risk rises, and AI and quantum computing reshape the market, continued leadership requires a clear understanding of where customer needs are headed and how Keyfactor can win.
Keyfactor is looking for a Director of Product Marketing to help shape product strategy and drive the market success of our solutions.
Reporting to the Vice President of Product & Customer Marketing, you will lead and develop a team of product marketers and serve as a strategic counterpart to Product and GTM leadership. You will bring customer, market, competitive, and commercial insight into key decisions, sharpen how Keyfactor differentiates, and strengthen how our solutions are positioned within the Keyfactor Trust Control Plane.
This role is for a leader who can move fluently between customer conversations, product and business strategy, technical subject matter, and commercial execution.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute product marketing plans for assigned solutions, defining priority buyers, use cases, market requirements, growth opportunities, and measures of success.
• Build a deep understanding of customers, buyers, competitors, and market trends through research, customer conversations, win-loss analysis, and partnership with Sales and Customer Success.
• Partner with Product throughout the product development lifecycle, bringing customer and market insight into product decisions and supporting validation, launch readiness, and adoption.
• Develop differentiated positioning and messaging that translates technical capabilities into clear business value, connects our solutions to the Keyfactor Trust Control Plane, and informs high-quality content for buyers and the field.
• Independently plan and execute go-to-market launches for new products, capabilities, and offers, coordinating deliverables, cross-functional stakeholders, field readiness, and post-launch follow-through.
• Create sales tools and deliver enablement that help Sales and Partners lead outcome-based conversations, differentiate Keyfactor, and navigate complex enterprise buying processes.
• Partner with Revenue Marketing and Customer Marketing to support acquisition, cross-sell, adoption, and expansion programs with the right audiences, messages, and proof points.
• Track launch performance, pipeline, adoption, content utilization, and competitive outcomes, using the results to recommend improvements.

Skills and Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in B2B product marketing, preferably for enterprise, technical, or multi-product solutions.
• Experience conducting customer, buyer, market, and competitive research and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex technical concepts clear and relevant to both technical practitioners and business decisionmakers.
• Hands-on experience across core product marketing disciplines, including positioning and messaging, product launches, sales enablement, content development, and cross-functional project leadership.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate cross-functional contributors, and deliver high-quality work on time.
• Analytical and commercially minded, with the ability to use performance data, customer feedback, and market evidence to evaluate results and improve execution.
• Collaborative and proactive, with the ability to build strong relationships across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
• Experience in cybersecurity, identity, cryptography, cloud infrastructure, or another technical enterprise software category is an advantage.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
