The Cengage School CTE Product Marketing Manager supports product strategy and market launch preparedness by translating market insights and customer needs into clear, consistent messaging and enablement assets. This role partners closely with Product Management, Content Specialists, and Sales to support market-informed development, positioning, and launch readiness across assigned products.
 

What you'll do here:
  • Support go-to-market (GTM) readiness and product launches by developing messaging, enablement assets, and coordinating launch timelines across Product, Marketing, and Sales teams.
  • Lead the analysis of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape to create product positioning, roadmap communication, and GTM execution.
  • Implement ongoing collection and synthesis of voice-of-customer, market research, and voice-of-field insights to support messaging, enablement materials, and readiness for market release.
  • Shape and influence product roadmap development, packaging, pricing, and product prioritization by providing market, customer, and field-informed inputs in close partnership with Product Management.
  • Develop and maintain foundational product messaging, including value propositions, proof points, target personas (buyers, users, influencers), and product descriptions.
  • Partner with and advise the Sales Enablement and Learning & Development teams to support the creation and maintenance of sales enablement tools for GTM execution, including product and sales demos, one-pagers, and product messaging for outbound and prospecting efforts.
  • Own and maintain national product messaging across web and marketing collateral, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with product strategy.
  • Partner with campaign and engagement teams to ensure consistency across pre-sale and post-sale customer experiences.
     
Skills you will need here:
  • Solid understanding of product marketing and go-to-market product launches, including product positioning, customer segmentation, and GTM readiness in the CTE K12 Market.
  • Ability to analyze market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer or field feedback and translate insights into actionable clear messaging, with the ability to create concise, audience-appropriate product messaging and sales tools..
  • Effective cross‑functional collaboration with strong day‑to‑day autonomy, proactively solving issues and raising bigger risks or roadblocks that need broader alignment.
  • Confirmed ability to influence decision-making and direction across multiple cross-functional teams through insights and partnership.
  • Experience developing or supporting sales enablement assets such as one-pagers, and knowledge transfer documents, etc.
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Marketing partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a similar field, or equivalent K12 education experience.
  • Typically requires minimum of 3 years of related experience in product marketing, marketing, or similar proven experience.

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location.  Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.

In this position,  you will be eligible to participate in the company’s discretionary incentive bonus program.  This position's bonus target amount, which is not guaranteed and is dependent on individual performance and overall company results among other factors, is provided below.  

5% Annual: Individual Target
$67,000.00 - $107,200.00 USD
