About Us:

HiveWatch is a tech-forward, inclusive organization fostering the evolution of the physical security industry. We are a diverse team of forward thinkers who empower each other to find creative and collaborative solutions in an industry ripe for modernization. We are passionate about the problems we’re solving for our customers and equally passionate about the company we’re building.

HiveWatch is here to help security teams pivot from chasing threats to preventing them. We protect organizations, people, and property through the intelligent orchestration of physical security programs. With better communication, more insights, and less “noise”, we are modernizing what it means for businesses and their employees to truly feel safe.

The Role:

HiveWatch is building the operating layer for enterprise physical security, a platform that unifies fragmented security operation center (SOC) tools and cuts through the noise SOC operators deal with every day. This role is the glue between our product strategy and the tactics that drive results in sales and marketing: positioning, launches, content, and enablement that make the product easy to understand, easy to sell, and easy to adopt.

This is HiveWatch's first dedicated product marketing hire. Product marketing has so far lived with the Head of Marketing; this role takes primary ownership of it, working closely with the Head of Marketing, product management, customer success and sales. For the right person, it's a builder role with a potential path to leading product marketing as a function as HiveWatch scales.

We're looking for someone who is AI-first in how they work, a kind of operating principle. You'll use AI tools as a default part of your process whether drafting copy, synthesizing market and competitive intelligence, or conducting buyer persona research and analysis. Just as important, you'll build that same fluency across the rest of the marketing team, so your review on outputs is scalable.

What You'll Do:
  • Market and buyer intelligence. Become the expert on who buys HiveWatch, how they buy, and what drives their decisions.
  • Competitive positioning. Maintain a sharp, current view of the market and competitive landscapes and how HiveWatch should be positioned within them.
  • Voice-of-customer and market research. Own an ongoing rhythm of customer and market research (win/loss, customer interviews, market sizing) that feeds positioning, product input, and the rest of go-to-market.
  • Messaging and narrative. Partner with product, customer success and sales to craft product positioning and messaging that holds up consistently across internal education, sales conversations, the website, and investor-facing materials.
  • Product launches. Plan and lead cross-functional launches for new products and features, building a repeatable process where one doesn't yet exist.
  • Go-to-market planning. Together with the digital marketing manager, collaborate and strategize on go-to-market plans for launches and campaigns, for both acquisition (net new) and expansion (customer).
  • Sales enablement. Equip the sales team with the materials, insights, and positioning they need to run an effective sales process and close deals.
  • Content and digital properties. Own the product narrative wherever it shows up publicly (i.e. website, digital properties, and broader content efforts) not just sales-facing materials.
  • AI-enabled scalability. Use AI as a core part of how you and the broader marketing team work and actively build that skill set across the team .
  • Thought leadership. Support HiveWatch's product point of view externally through copywriting, speaking pitches, presentation creation, and industry engagement channels.
  • Program effectiveness. Evaluate what's working across marketing and enablement efforts and recommend changes.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5–7+ years of product marketing experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or a hardware/software hybrid business selling into enterprise buyers.
  • Self-motivated and deeply curious: someone who digs into the "why" and treats curiosity as a core habit.
  • AI-first: fluent and genuinely hands-on with AI tools for more than drafting copy, ideally with a track record of building that fluency in others.
  • A strong writer who moves comfortably between sales collateral, web copy, video scripts and longer-form content.
  • Experience owning positioning and messaging in a competitive market; physical security or adjacent enterprise software experience is a plus.
  • Comfort building process and infrastructure from scratch, in a role with more ambiguity than structure on day one.
  • Experience working directly with sales and customer success teams and building materials that get used.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable operating independently.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
