Databricks’ data engineering product portfolio is the largest driver of revenue for the company today and as a Product Marketing Manager for data engineering, you will join a team of product marketers whose work impacts every Databricks customer. Furthermore, as a member of the team you will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of data engineering by launching Lakeflow - the exciting next chapter of data engineering on Databricks. Your focus will be the data orchestration capabilities offered by Lakeflow and you will be the owner and expert with a deep understanding of the product, customers and competitors. In this role, you will own the strategy and execution of a product marketing plan and collaborate with product leaders, sales professionals and other marketers to build messaging, launch new products and build assets that tell Databricks’ data engineering story.

The impact you will have:

  • Own the messaging for Databricks’ data orchestration capabilities and position Databricks as a differentiated leader in the data engineering space.
  • Launch new data engineering products and features by working closely with product and engineering teams on the product roadmap.
  • Define and execute a go-to-market strategy for data orchestration by enabling sellers and building collateral assets such as pitch decks and customer references.
  • Drive demand by focusing on data engineering audience personas and working with campaign managers on programs that move prospects through the marketing funnel.
  • Present at customer-facing events and virtual webinars.

What we look for:

  • 3+ years of experience in product marketing at an enterprise software company preferably in the data and AI space
  • Portfolio of impactful marketing content, sales enablement materials, customer evidence and a track record of creating successful marketing programs.
  • Experience with cloud technologies is a must.
  • Experience in data engineering, data science or analytics is an advantage.
  • Experience presenting at conferences/seminars and customer engagements.
  • Experience marketing technical products to technical buyers and practitioners.
  • Preferred technical academic background (BS in computer science or a related discipline)

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. $108,300$166,100 USD

Zone 3 Pay Range

$102,200$156,800 USD
