Goody is looking for a contract Product Marketing Manager to help us execute and plan for a busy H2 — and beyond.

As our first Product Marketer, you'll help our releases ship with clear messaging, consistent processes, and a company that feels ready to talk about it. Alongside that, you'll build the case for our Team plan — our enterprise-tier subscription — through original research, sharp positioning, and enablement that gives sales real ammunition to close bigger deals.

You'll report to the SVP of Growth and collaborate closely with product, sales, and the broader Goody team.

This is a four-month, 30/hour-week contractor role, with the possibility to extend or even convert to full time in 2027.

Goody is fully remote with opportunities for occasional in-person work in metro areas like the Bay Area, New York City, or Los Angeles. This role is open to candidates based in the United States or Canada.

What you'll own
GTM Process & Planning
  • Implement a project management process and GTM planning framework for all planned high-priority releases

  • Communicate timelines and announcement plans

  • Develop key messaging for each release

  • Assign owners and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to keep releases on track

Enterprise Product Marketing: Positioning & Enablement
  • Develop positioning for our Team plan, targeting sales, marketing, and GTM personas at organizations

  • Help build out the sales enablement and pitch process, including supporting collateral

  • Collaborate with product on the roadmap, advocating for features and updates our customers need

Customer & Market Research
  • Conduct customer interviews to inform positioning and Product decisions

  • Run quantitative and qualitative research

  • Conduct competitor analysis

Who you are

Must-haves
  • 5+ years of B2B product marketing experience at a product-led SaaS company (bonus points for GTM technology)

  • Power user of AI tools for leverage, research and productivity

  • Track record of owning GTM planning and launch process for multiple concurrent releases

  • Experience developing positioning, messaging, and sales enablement materials from scratch

  • Comfortable running customer interviews and synthesizing qualitative/quantitative research

  • Strong writing and cross-functional collaboration skills; able to work independently with light oversight

  • Experience with Product analytics tools like Amplitude

  • Excellent analytical skills and data literacy

  • Available ~30 hrs/week for the duration of the contract

Bonus points
  • Experience in a related space (gifting, e-commerce, GTM tech, or HR SaaS)

  • Experience navigating a hybrid PLG/Enterprise GTM

  • Advanced analytics skills (such as SQL queries or building Hex dashboards)

  • Experience standing up GTM/project management process at an early-stage or scaling company

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
