Our Company

The workplace has undergone a complete transformation. Historically, occupancy was consistent; everyone worked in the office five days per week. But in today’s world, occupancy is inconsistent, unpredictable, and dynamic, as work has become more flexible than ever before. To make decisions with confidence, workplace, CRE, and facilities management leaders need a true understanding of how and when their spaces are used.

VergeSense is the company behind the world’s first and only Occupancy Intelligence Platform. Over 220 companies across 50 countries and 140M sqft rely on occupancy intelligence to make confident, fact-based optimization decisions to improve employee experience and decrease costs. VergeSense customers use our Occupancy Intelligence Platform, which is built on a foundation of the industry's most accurate occupancy sensors and other data sources, to right-size their portfolio, validate space planning and designs, optimize cleaning operations, and ensure their teams can always find spaces to work.

The Role:

VergeSense is seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager to join our dynamic and growth-driven marketing team, reporting to the Director of Marketing. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in B2B Product Marketing.  You will become a customer expert, responsible for shaping and executing the product marketing strategy for VergeSense's Occupancy Intelligence Platform and future product innovations.  This includes positioning & messaging, launches, GTM strategy, market research & competitive intelligence, and supporting a multi-persona enterprise sales cycle.  You will play a pivotal role in driving product adoption and market awareness, and ensuring the success of our GTM strategy.

What you’ll do:

Segment specific storytelling: create a deep understanding of different customer segments and ICPs, from their demographic profile to their pain points, and craft stories that are designed to speak to them effectively.

Positioning and messaging: Develop clear, compelling product positioning and messaging that highlights the value and differentiation of our solutions that resonates with target audiences and aligns with our overall value proposition.  Product launch coordination: Drives coordinated launch initiatives, uniting Product, Marketing, and Sales around cohesive messaging that resonates with target audiences.

Go-to-market strategy: Create and execute end-to-end go-to-market strategies for solutions, including market segmentation, buyer personas, competitive analysis, and channel enablement plans.

Sales Enablement: Equip sales and marketing teams with the tools, resources, and training needed to effectively communicate the value of solutions, such as playbooks, case studies, and tailored content.

Customer insights and market research:  Conduct research to deeply understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscapes, using insights to inform product and marketing strategies.

You’ll partner closely with our Customer Success team and bring our customer stories to life through testimonials and case studies.

Competitive and Market Intelligence: You’ll continuously analyze the market as well as our competitors to identify trends, gather intelligence to inform our positioning, GTM strategies, and product roadmap.

Content development and execution: Partner with cross-functional teams to design and deliver impactful campaigns that drive awareness, demand generation, and pipeline growth for solutions in target markets.

Qualifications:

3-5 years product marketing experience.

Prior experience in business consulting, product management, or marketing is also a plus but not a necessity.

Demonstrated success in developing and executing GTM strategies for B2B SaaS products.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical features into benefits for a wide audience.

Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholders.

Ability to understand and identify trends in the market, our competitors, and our user needs across multiple segments.

Ability to juggle multiple projects at once and have strong prioritization skills

Familiarity with PropTech, workplace analytics, sensor technology, or related fields is an advantage - but not a requirement.

Benefits

• A high-impact role in an emerging industry leader

• Competitive compensation and equity

• Employer-sponsored medical

• Dental and vision insurance (dependent on location)

• Open Vacation policy: take time off when you need it

We value people from all walks of life who exhibit kindness, curiosity, discipline, humility, and passion to excel at what they do. If you would like to contribute to our team, we encourage you to apply.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
