About Middesk:

Middesk makes it easier for businesses to work together. Since 2018, we’ve been transforming business identity verification, replacing slow, manual processes with seamless access to complete, up-to-date data. Our platform helps companies across industries confidently verify business identities, onboard customers faster, and reduce risk at every stage of the customer lifecycle.

Middesk came out of Y Combinator, is backed by Sequoia Capital and Accel Partners, and was recently named to Forbes Fintech 50 List.

About the Role:

We're looking for a Product Marketing Associate to support and execute product marketing initiatives across the full GTM lifecycle. This is a great role for someone who's ready to own real work, not just assist on it, and grow their craft in a fast-moving environment.

You'll contribute to positioning, launch execution, sales enablement, and competitive intelligence, working closely with product, sales, and marketing teammates. You're comfortable taking a clear brief and running with it, you ask good questions when direction is ambiguous, and you care about doing the work well.

This role is a fit for someone building toward a broader PMM scope where you'll have real ownership from day one, and room to grow into more strategic territory as you develop.

We follow a hybrid work model, and for this role, there is an expectation of 2 days per week in our SF office. Candidates should be based within a commutable distance, as we believe in the value of in-person collaboration and building strong team connections while also supporting flexibility where possible.

What You'll Do:
  • Positioning and messaging for our business identity products across key segments including fintechs, lenders, enterprise financial services, and marketplaces

  • Go-to-market execution for new product and feature launches, from coordinating across teams to hitting milestones from beta through release

  • Sales enablement materials including pitch decks, one-pagers, and competitive battle cards that help the sales team move deals forward

  • Competitive intelligence tracking to keep our frameworks current and our team equipped to win

  • Customer research in partnership with senior teammates – interviews, feedback synthesis, and usage data – that sharpens our messaging and informs GTM decisions

  • Distribution of product stories and Middesk's point of view in market, in coordination with the broader marketing team

What We're Looking For:
  • 3+ years in product marketing, content marketing, or a related B2B marketing role

  • Hands-on experience with AI-enabled marketing workflows, and genuine curiosity about how AI is changing the way buyers discover and evaluate products

  • Familiarity with GTM launch execution, sales enablement, or competitive positioning

  • Strong written communication skills and an instinct for translating complex products into clear, audience-ready messaging

  • High ownership mentality – you follow through, communicate proactively, and care about the outcome, not just the task

  • Comfortable operating with some ambiguity and motivated by building rather than inheriting

  • Collaborative by default, with a track record of working well across sales, product, and marketing teams

Nice-To-Have:
  • Experience at a high-growth fintech or B2B SaaS company

  • Exposure to compliance, identity, or financial services use cases

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
