Job Description

Product Manager

Location: Remote (U.S)
Reports To: Managing Director of Business Operations

About Private Health Management

Private Health Management guides patients and families through the chaos and complexity of serious medical care, for cancer and beyond. As an independent advocate and trusted partner during healthcare's most challenging moments, our team of experts works alongside physicians to orchestrate the best treatment, advocacy, and support to deliver measurably better outcomes.
Everyone deserves great care. We make sure they get it.

About the Role

The BizOps team serves as PHM's product management function, helping define, build, and optimize the systems, workflows, and tools that power critical business operations. This role will focus heavily on supporting the Commercial organization by bringing structure to complex processes, improving visibility into performance, and helping scale how the team operates.

This is an opportunity to help build a modern go-to-market organization from the ground up. You'll partner closely with sales, account management, marketing, finance, and leadership teams to standardize workflows, improve systems of record, and shape how AI becomes embedded in the day-to-day operation of the Commercial organization.

A key part of this role will be identifying opportunities to build, test, and deploy AI-powered tools, workflows, and interfaces that help teams access information, automate work, and make better decisions. The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, comfortable with ambiguity, and excited by the opportunity to turn emerging AI capabilities into practical business solutions.

What You’ll Accomplish

Standardize commercial processes across deal management, sales lifecycle management, renewals, reporting, and KPI visibility.

Establish trusted, scalable systems of record and improve data quality, governance, and reporting consistency.

Design, prototype, and implement AI-powered tools and workflows that help commercial teams work more efficiently and extract insights from business data.

Help define PHM's long-term vision for how AI supports sales, account management, marketing, finance, reporting, and analytics functions.

Build strong partnerships across the Commercial organization and help define a gold-standard operating model that scales with company growth.

How You’ll Spend Your Days

Partnering with Commercial Teams

Work closely with sales, account management, marketing, finance, and leadership stakeholders to understand needs and identify opportunities for improvement.

Build trusted relationships that enable alignment across teams with differing priorities and perspectives.

Designing Processes and Operating Models

Translate ambiguous business challenges into clear workflows, operating procedures, and scalable solutions.

Drive standardization across commercial processes and reporting practices.

Building AI-Powered Solutions

Identify high-value opportunities to apply AI within commercial workflows.

Prototype and test AI-powered tools, interfaces, automations, and workflows using both internal and external technologies.

Partner with stakeholders to drive adoption and measure impact of AI-enabled solutions.

Stay current on emerging AI capabilities and evaluate how they can be applied to real business problems.

Improving Systems and Tools

Support the evolution of platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach.io, and ServiceNow.

Improve visibility into key metrics, KPIs, and organizational performance.

Ensure solutions are practical, adopted by end users, and aligned to how commercial teams actually work.

What You Bring to the Table

Required

Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills with the ability to bring clarity to ambiguous situations.

Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities across all levels of an organization.

Curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to experiment with emerging AI tools and technologies.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong cross-functional partnerships.

Interest in commercial operations, go-to-market functions, and business process improvement.

Nice to Have

Consulting experience.

GTM Operations, Revenue Operations, or Commercial Operations experience.

Experience working closely with sales, account management, or broader commercial organizations.

Experience in high-growth or scaling environments.

Familiarity with CRM and GTM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Outreach.io.

Compensation

The target base salary for this position is 110,000 - 130,000.

This base salary is only a part of a total compensation package that also includes: health/dental/vision benefits, annual cash incentive program, 401k with match, flexible PTO, PHM for PHM — our services for you and your dependents — and other benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range as a number of factors including market forces, experience, location, disparities in market data, and other relevant business considerations may all determine final compensation.

Location

This is a remote role requiring that you live in and physically perform all work in the United States.

Next Steps

Private Health Management is a remote company with employees across the United States. If your application is selected for next steps, you’ll hear from a member of our recruiting team about the interview process, which may include conversations with the hiring manager, peers, and department leaders, conducted virtually by Zoom or phone.

PHM may use AI-enabled tools at certain points in the recruiting process to help us review candidates consistently and give more qualified applicants an opportunity to be considered beyond their resume. AI tools may support parts of the process, but they do not make hiring decisions. All hiring decisions are made by human reviewers.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
