The Opportunity:

Gynger is looking for a Product Manager to own the most business-critical slice of our platform: core lending and payments. Sitting in our NYC HQ and reporting to the Director of Product Management, you’ll partner daily with engineering, risk, design, and go-to-market teams to refine how capital flows through Gynger, expand our credit products, and ship features that keep customers coming back.

While the primary focus is FinTech-heavy, we’d love someone who can also flex into the more complex SaaS workflows as priorities evolve.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role at a high growth, category creating startup. You will have exposure to many aspects of the business and be given the opportunity to build products that change the way businesses buy and sell technology.

In this role you will...

  • Own the following:
  • Lending & Payments Domain
  • Take full product ownership of Gynger’s underwriting, funding, repayment, and vendor-payment experiences.
  • Define the roadmap, success metrics, and release plans for core lending features.
  • Deep-dive into customer, vendor, and risk-team feedback to discover, scope, and prioritize high-impact work.
  • Product Execution
  • Translate problems into PRDs, stories, and acceptance criteria; partner with U.S. engineers to deliver on time and at quality.
  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with design to craft delightful, trustworthy product flows.
  • Instrument analytics dashboards, run A/B tests, and iterate rapidly based on data.
  • Keeping Gynger Safe & Compliant
  • Collaborate with Risk and GTM to embed KYC/KYB, fraud, and lending-regulation requirements into product design.
  • Champion scalable operational tooling that reduces manual work.
  • Contribute Beyond Lending
  • When capacity allows, pick up cross-platform SaaS initiatives.
  • Mentor junior PMs and help refine our product processes as we scale.

You have...

  • 3 - 5 years of product management experience with at least 2+ years specifically in the lending/payments space (e.g., credit decisioning, loan servicing, ACH/rails, card issuing, or embedded finance).
  • The willingness and ability to work in a hybrid environment in NYC.
  • Nice-To-Haves: Experience with complex SaaS workflow products.

We Offer...

• The opportunity to join one of the fastest growing Fintech Series A companies in NYC.
• The ability to revolutionize the B2B SaaS market.
• A tight-knit, collaborative team who are passionate about building startups.
• Competitive salary, equity, flexible PTO, and robust benefits (medical, dental, vision etc.).
• Built-In 2024 and 2025 "Best Places to Work.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
