The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Lead the product direction for a procurement and supply chain area of a software platform. Spend time with users at their worksites, convert operational needs into written requirements and early prototypes, and partner with engineers to release improvements.

What you'll do

- Own the roadmap and strategy for procurement, inventory, traceability, vendor management and materials planning capabilities.

- Visit customer sites and meet with operations and purchasing leaders to understand their challenges and guide product decisions.

- Turn intricate operational rules into written requirements, mockups and working prototypes, and collaborate closely with engineers to deliver quickly.

- Use AI-assisted tools to prototype ideas, run data queries, explore APIs and occasionally contribute code.

- Align engineering, design, customer success and sales teams so that new features deliver measurable value and smooth onboarding.

- Analyze usage data, inventory metrics and customer feedback to test hypotheses and measure the impact of releases.


Requirements

What we're looking for

- 3 to 10 years of experience spanning manufacturing, supply chain and product management.

- Hands-on background in manufacturing or supply chain operations, such as production, procurement, inventory or logistics.

- Experience shipping product features end-to-end, from research through launch.

- Deep knowledge of procurement workflows, material requirements planning, inventory allocation and traceability.

- Ability to write technical specifications and build functional prototypes from complex business rules.

- Strong cross-functional influence across engineering, design, sales and customers.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, supply chain or a related technical field.

- Ability to work on-site at least 3 days per week.

Bonus points

- Prior software engineering or hands-on coding experience.

- Background in industries that build complex physical products.

- Comfort building prototypes with AI tools.
