Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Management, in a remote role, we are looking for a strategic Product Manager. This individual contributor will lead product strategy for identifying and delivering a set of integration opportunities across Employer Services and the broader HR technology ecosystem. You will shape the integrations strategy for priority opportunities that expand how our products deliver, strengthen partner connectivity, and improve client value.

You will sit at the intersection of product strategy, ecosystem partnerships, data connectivity, and new solution development. You combine product management discipline with commercial curiosity, technical fluency, and execution. You can evaluate integration opportunities, develop recommendations, and translate approved priorities into scalable product plans.

  • You are a strategic thinker- Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects, and technology capabilities into a clear integrations strategy, roadmap, and measurable outcomes.
  • You are curious and inventive - naturally asks why, challenges legacy assumptions, looks at opportunities from different angles, and explores new combinations of capabilities that can create outsized value.
  • You are execution-oriented - create clarity, drives decisions, and follows through across complex projects from concept through market adoption.
  • You will guide agreement through persuasion rather than positional power, and know when to escalate versus when to keep working the problem through relationships.
  • You are technically fluent - understands modern integration patterns, cloud and data architectures, APIs, and data exchange models well enough to shape strategy, assess tradeoffs, and partner with technical teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead product strategy development for priority integration projects within Employer Services, identifying high-value opportunities to improve connectivity, delivery, and partner-enabled growth.
  • Partner with Partnerships and Alliances to prioritize strategic integration opportunities, including embedded experiences and co-created solutions, assessing each for product viability, client value, and scalable execution.
  • Provide product strategy recommendations for where Employer Services should build, partner, integrate, or co-create, supported by customer value, business case, and execution feasibility
  • Identify opportunities to improve connectivity across priority Employer Services products, reusing capabilities where practical and supporting a more integrated client experience.
  • Shape the strategy for scalable data connections across HCM, payroll, and related source systems. This will help products to receive the data they need. Additionally, it will reduce source-system dependency and help broader product reach.
  • Assess and help develop new integration and solution concepts that emerge from partnership opportunities, with a focus on product viability, client value, and scalable execution.
  • Lead discovery and execution for priority integration opportunities, defining success measures and communicating product rationale, tradeoffs, progress, and value to partners and leadership partners.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management or related experience creating and scaling software, platform, integration, or data products, with experience driving complex product projects.
  • Demonstrated strength in modern product management disciplines including opportunity discovery, customer and market validation, product strategy, outcome-based roadmaps, prioritization, requirements, launch, and measurement.
  • Advanced AI product fluency involves hands-on experience applying generative AI, large language models (LLMs), agentic workflows, and AI-enabled product practices. These practices accelerate discovery, improve decision-making, and create notable customer value. Furthermore, I am able to identify high-value AI opportunities and assess data, technology, risk, and build-versus-partner tradeoffs with technical teams.
  • Experience identifying and shaping ecosystem or partnership-led product opportunities, such as product integrations, embedded solutions, white-label models, channel partnerships, or co-build projects.
  • Experience evaluating strategic options, create structure and, build a compelling product and business case, and move complex projects from concept to measurable market outcomes.
  • You have technical fluency with modern integration and data technologies. These technologies include APIs, cloud-based architectures, data ingestion and exchange patterns, and scalable data services. Additionally, they can assess technical tradeoffs without needing to operate as an engineer.
  • Experience in HR Tech, employer services, HCM, payroll, compliance, or adjacent enterprise software ecosystems.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
