About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager & Senior Business Analyst who can combine product strategy with strong execution discipline.

This is a hands-on role responsible for shaping product direction, translating business objectives into actionable requirements, driving roadmap execution, establishing strong product governance, and providing clear visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.

The role will work closely with business leaders, customers, SMEs, engineering, UX, QA, and the Embrace AI Group to modernize existing platforms and identify opportunities for AI-powered automation and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
  • Define and maintain product strategy, priorities, and roadmaps aligned with business and customer objectives.
  • Translate strategic goals into measurable product initiatives and delivery plans.
  • Balance customer needs, modernization, technical debt, compliance, growth opportunities, and innovation.
  • Evaluate opportunities based on customer value, business impact, effort, risk, and strategic alignment.
  • Support product planning across legacy and next-generation platforms.
Business Analysis & Requirements
  • Lead discovery with customers, business stakeholders, SMEs, engineering, and operations.
  • Understand complex legal collection workflows, business rules, integrations, compliance requirements, and operational pain points.
  • Translate business needs into process flows, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, scenarios, and prototypes.
  • Identify happy paths, alternate flows, edge cases, dependencies, and exceptions before development.
  • Challenge ambiguous requirements and ensure teams understand both the business problem and desired outcome.
Product Governance
  • Establish disciplined governance from Discovery → Prioritization → Definition → Development → UAT → Release → Measurement.
  • Maintain clear ownership, decision logs, dependencies, risks, assumptions, and escalation paths.
  • Ensure roadmap and backlog priorities remain aligned with agreed business objectives.
  • Establish appropriate product and delivery checkpoints without creating unnecessary process overhead.
  • Drive accountability across cross-functional teams and proactively escalate blockers.
Executive Reporting & Visibility
  • Provide concise and consistent reporting on roadmap health, delivery progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, and outcomes.
  • Maintain executive-level dashboards and product scorecards.
  • Track planned vs. delivered commitments and highlight material deviations early.
  • Define and monitor KPIs covering adoption, customer value, operational efficiency, product quality, and business impact.
  • Convert complex product and delivery information into clear recommendations for leadership.
AI & Product Innovation
  • Partner with the Embrace AI Group to identify high-value AI and automation opportunities across Legal & other Tech workflows.
  • Evaluate opportunities including intelligent workflow automation, document processing, analytics, recommendations, knowledge retrieval, and productivity improvements.
  • Develop prototypes and experiments to validate opportunities before committing significant engineering investment.
  • Ensure AI initiatives have clear business outcomes, appropriate human oversight, measurable success criteria, and production readiness.
  • Identify reusable AI capabilities that can create value across products and workflows.
Legacy Modernization
  • Develop a strong understanding of mature products, existing customer workflows, integrations, and historical product decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and modernize legacy workflows without disrupting mission-critical customer operations.
  • Support migration and modernization decisions across desktop/on-premise and modern cloud/web platforms.
  • Balance feature parity with opportunities to redesign workflows rather than simply recreating legacy functionality.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong relationships with customers, SMEs, business leaders, engineering, QA, sales, support, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate discovery, prioritization, roadmap, and solution-design discussions.
  • Separate individual customer requests from broader market opportunities.
  • Communicate trade-offs clearly and drive decisions when stakeholders have competing priorities.
  • Ensure customer and business feedback continuously informs product direction.
Delivery & Release Readiness
  • Partner closely with engineering and QA throughout implementation.
  • Ensure requirements and acceptance criteria are sufficiently defined before development.
  • Review prototypes and implemented workflows against expected business outcomes.
  • Coordinate UAT, stakeholder validation, and release readiness.
  • Ensure released capabilities are measured against their intended outcomes rather than considering deployment alone as success.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience across Product Management, Business Analysis, or enterprise software delivery.
  • Strong hands-on experience as a Product Manager and/or Senior Business Analyst.
  • Experience working with complex B2B or enterprise SaaS products.
  • Excellent requirements analysis, process modeling, user story, and acceptance criteria skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing product roadmaps and prioritization.
  • Strong understanding of Agile product development and software delivery.
  • Experience working with mature/legacy products and modernization initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to independently drive ambiguous initiatives from problem definition through execution.
  • Strong analytical and structured decision-making capabilities.
  • Practical understanding of AI/LLMs and how AI can be applied to enterprise workflows.
  • Comfortable working with distributed teams and regularly overlapping with US stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
  • B2B Saas, LegalTech, collections, financial services, compliance, case management, or other regulated workflow products.
  • Legacy-to-cloud or desktop-to-web modernization.
  • Workflow automation and configurable enterprise platforms.
  • AI-enabled enterprise products or AI automation initiatives.
  • Product analytics, KPI frameworks, and executive reporting.
  • UX discovery, workflow design, wireframing, or rapid prototyping.
Success in This Role

Success means creating a strong connection between:

Business Strategy → Product Strategy → Roadmap → Requirements → Delivery → Adoption → Measurable Business Outcomes

The ideal candidate is not only responsible for documenting requirements or maintaining a backlog. They are expected to understand the business, challenge assumptions, drive decisions, establish governance, provide leadership visibility, and ensure teams are solving the highest-value customer and business problems.

Benefits
  • Competitive salary, structured based on the UK working hours.
  • Comprehensive training and mentorship programs for skill and knowledge enhancement.
  • Opportunities for career advancement and professional development.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
