A Lot About You

We are seeking a creative, analytical, and results-driven Product Manager, Discovery to help grow Yahoo Games by driving qualified traffic from across the Yahoo ecosystem. This role will focus on creating, optimizing, and scaling promotional entry points that introduce users to games as part of their daily routines.

You will work closely with Analytics, Engineering, Design, and Product partners to define and test new promotional modules, improve discovery efficiency, and increase conversion into gameplay. You will also partner with surface owners and stakeholders across Yahoo (e.g., News, Mail, Finance, Sports) to integrate games in contextually relevant ways that benefit both host surfaces and Yahoo Games.

This is a highly experimental, data-driven role that blends product management with growth, marketing, and user acquisition principles. If you are excited about discovery, experimentation, and using a large owned ecosystem to drive meaningful user engagement, keep reading.

Your Day at Yahoo
  • Own discovery for Yahoo Games across the Yahoo ecosystem, with a focus on promotional entry points and conversion into gameplay.

  • Contribute to and ultimately lead the development of a product roadmap that aligns with Discovery strategy, prioritizing features and initiatives that align with business goals.

  • Define, launch, and optimize promotional modules and placements in partnership with surface owners and internal stakeholders.

  • Drive experimentation across creative, placement, format, and messaging to improve CTR, engagement, and downstream retention.

  • Partner closely with Analytics to define success metrics, build dashboards, analyze performance, and apply learnings to iteration cycles.

  • Collaborate with Design and Engineering to deliver scalable, reusable discovery solutions.

  • Identify opportunities to improve personalization of games within different entry points and the relevance of different promotional entry points for users.

  • Advocate for the user by conducting user research, leveraging data, user feedback, experimentation, and competitive insights.

  • Communicate results, learnings, and recommendations clearly to cross-functional partners and leadership.

  • Stay informed on best practices in growth, discovery, user acquisition, and digital media.

You Must Have
  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in consumer, growth, or discovery-focused roles.

  • Experience driving discovery, traffic growth, or user acquisition within a product-led environment.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform prioritization and experimentation.

  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, and analytics tools.

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, analytics, and multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience operating in a matrixed organization and influencing without direct authority.

  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and content consumption in digital media.

  • Passion for games and curiosity about how players discover and engage with interactive experiences.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum development environments.

Nice to Have

  • Background in marketing, growth, or user acquisition.

  • Experience working with large consumer platforms or owned distribution channels.

  • Familiarity with international data privacy considerations.

The compensation for this position ranges from $120,750.00 - $251,250.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
