About The Role
 

This position is responsible for supporting the implementation, ongoing management, and sales enablement of the Individual Retirement Annuities product lines, with primary emphasis on compensation management. The incumbent will lead and support initiatives that drive operational excellence and strategic alignment across product, distributor, and compensation programs.
 

The successful candidate will ensure the timely and cost-effective execution of product and non-product initiatives, collaborating closely with internal business partners and external distribution partners. This role requires a high degree of subject matter expertise in annuity compensation, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support compensation updates for annuity products distributed through broker-dealers, banks, independent marketing organizations (IMOs), general agencies, and other distribution channels.

  • Manage the commission governance process, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and consistency across compensation programs, while driving continuous process improvement.

  • Independently manage firm commission change requests from initiation through implementation, maintaining clear communication and alignment with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and precise execution.

  • Lead and coordinate strategic initiatives (i.e., Elite Producer Compensation program), ensuring effective collaboration across business units and successful program implementation.

  • Partner with senior leadership to conduct annual reviews and implement standardized IMO compensation programs that are competitive and consistent with industry practices.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for product compensation across all Individual Retirement Annuities product lines, providing guidance and insight to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, IT, Legal, and Marketing teams to support large-scale product launches, including the establishment of commission structures, review of custom compensation arrangements, and facilitation of necessary approvals.

  • Lead cross-functional working groups to ensure alignment and effective implementation of initiatives, including preparation of agendas, senior leadership decks, documentation of action items, and timely follow-up.

  • Conduct compensation-related research and data analysis to support product distribution strategies and business objectives.

  • Contribute to the development of new product ideas and initiatives that enhance market competitiveness and sales effectiveness.

  • Perform additional duties as needed to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective support of new initiatives and strategic projects.

Skills and Qualification

  • 2-7 years of product management, product development, distributor back/home office support, marketing or sales experience in the financial services industry

  • BA/BS in business administration, marketing, finance, or related field preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare and present materials to senior leadership.

  • Must be able to develop and deliver presentations to group/audience

  • Excellent MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – ability to understand impacts of simple to complex concepts

  • Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines

  • Proven experience in presenting ideas to key contributors throughout an organization

  • Ability to visualize and/or contribute to the presentation of an idea or project (from concept and design to presentation)

  • Impeccable organization and follow-up skills

  • Annuity industry knowledge (understand service, sales, distribution, and regulatory matters)

  • Ability to foster effective working relationships with peers within and across organizational lines

  • Proven track record in completing assigned tasks and projects

  • Annuity experience working with Broker Dealers, Insurance Agencies and/or IMO/BGA organization in a service, sales, marketing, or project management capacity is preferred

  • Ability to quickly adapt and adjust to change

  • Results rather than task orientation

  • Ability to quickly assess strengths/weaknesses and address potential issues

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000 to $87,000 at the commencement of employment.  Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications. In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. Corebridge also offers a range of competitive benefits as part of the total compensation package, as detailed below.

Work Location

This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Houston, TX or Woodland Hills, CA office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
