Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

We launched a new ad-supported tier in November 2022 and are building an in-house world-class ad tech ecosystem to offer our members more choices in consuming their content. Our new tier allows us to attract new members at a lower price point while also creating a compelling path for advertisers to reach deeply engaged audiences.

Our Team:

The Ads Platform team builds the advertising systems and integrations that power the delivery of ads using our world-class content delivery ecosystem. We deliver ads in a manner that’s thoughtful of our members’ viewing experience and drives great outcomes for advertisers.

Our team is new and yet faced with the ambitions of building highly performant advertising systems and delivering high impact to our business by monetizing our incredible slate of content. As one of the newest entrants in the Connected TV advertising space that’s rapidly growing, we seek to build unique value propositions that differentiate Netflix from other ad-supported streaming services.

We are looking for a Product Manager in the advertising space who is excited to join us on this

journey.

About the Role:

This PM will develop our demand integration and channel offering across Netflix Ads, including how Netflix inventory can be purchased through agency tools, resellers, marketing platforms, and emerging solutions such as AI/agentic buying. You will monitor how AI is changing media buying behavior to ensure Netflix inventory is best positioned within the tools that agencies and advertisers use. You will be a key contributor to the demand strategy for Netflix Ads with responsibility for efficiently growing our advertiser base and buying channels.

This PM will:

  • Define the strategy and drive the product roadmap, aligning with strategic priorities, cross-functional planning, and partner roadmaps.

  • Partner closely with sales, finance, strategy, engineering, third-party partners, and other product teams to deliver products and integrations that drive revenue and contribution margin growth.

  • Prioritize and manage the product roadmap based on identified market, segment, and partnership opportunities.

  • Launch AI-native capabilities to simplify the way buyers launch campaigns with Netflix using automated and agentic interactions with our ad stack.

  • Identify needs and influence product roadmaps internally to build capabilities in support of new demand integrations and growth opportunities.

  • Develop joint engagement plans with identified partners to develop, pilot, and launch new demand integrations.

We’re seeking a candidate who has:
  • 8+ years of Product Management experience successfully executing a roadmap and launching products within the digital advertising ecosystem.

  • Strong technical understanding of the Programmatic ecosystem, including DSPs, ad servers, SSPs, and digital marketing platforms.

  • Familiarity with IAB standards and specifications, such as OpenRTB, VAST, AdCOM, or ads.txt.

  • Demonstrated ability to build products that scale globally while considering regional and local market needs.

  • Strong knowledge of the campaign lifecycle from planning, activation, measurement, and billing.

  • Proven experience building API-driven products for third-party usage; experience with MCP servers is a plus.

  • Developed business cases to pursue growth in new markets, verticals, or product segments.

  • Collaborated with data science and/or customer insights teams to make product strategy and roadmap decisions.

  • Collaborated with third-party partnership, product, technology, and business development teams to jointly develop roadmaps and business plans.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
