What You'll Do
The Product Development Project Manager is responsible for planning and implementing assigned projects and tasks within the Product Development Department. The Project Manager is the glue between cross functional teams and will ensure project timelines are set, deadlines are met, and new product launches are on time. This role will lead department project meetings, assign responsibilities and continually monitor and summarize the progress of new product development.
Lead project management for the end-to-end product development process from concept through production• Ensure project deadlines are met and product launches are on time• Manage and track multiple new product development projects; monitor day-to-day project activities, track changes, and identify potential risks• Prepare project documentation and coordinate with the Asia Engineering Team to start projects. Maintain on time and weekly communications with Engineering on project status and updates.• Communicate key milestones, critical path deliverables and project expectations to project team members. Ensure team members on track to meet deadlines.• Identify and create mitigation plans for project risks• Regular reporting on the status of projects, including timing, open issues, projected costs, corrective actions, if any• Regularly meet with PMO Department to review project status, identify any late task or open issues, and report back on action items for resolution• Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Compliance, Costing, Supply Chain, Quality, Brand Design, and Operations Teams to ensure seamless execution development plans• Other duties may be assigned
You will have:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university• Minimum of 5 years' experience in consumer products project management, new product planning or project engineering• Must be comfortable with systems and data analysis• Experience in using Workfront and SolidWorks is a plus• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications• Excellent team communication and organizational skills• Ability to influence business partners to achieve project goals
