Authorium is rethinking how government teams manage the mess of spreadsheets, documents, emails, and disconnected systems. Our platform brings all of that together into one place — from procurement to contracts to budgeting — making it easier for public agencies to work faster, stay compliant, and actually see what’s going on.
We care about clean design, practical solutions, and building tools that real people can use without training manuals. If that resonates, read on.
The RoleWe’re looking for a mid-level product designer to join our fully remote team. This is a hands-on, production-focused role where you’ll take on design challenges, move fast, and collaborate closely with product and engineering to bring features to life.
You’ll be working directly with the Head of Product (also our current head designer), and your work will show up in the product fast. You’ll have a lot of autonomy — and with that, a lot of trust.
What You’ll Do- Take rough product ideas and shape them into polished, user-friendly designs
- Design flows, screens, and interactions using our established design system (and improve it as you go)
- Work quickly — but with clarity and care
- Iterate in close partnership with the Head of Product and PMs
- Communicate proactively when something’s unclear or blocked
- Use real content, realistic edge cases, and thoughtful states (no lorem ipsum)
- Help make complex workflows feel simple for users who are often new to the platform
We’d love to see how you’d approach a real challenge. As part of the process, you’ll complete a short design exercise based on something we’re actively working on. It’s the kind of thing you’d actually be doing here — not a whiteboard test or theoretical redesign.
- You’re a strong production designer — fast, thoughtful, and clear
- You have 3–5 years of product design experience (bonus if it’s in SaaS or enterprise tools)
- You’re comfortable working independently and don’t wait around for all the answers
- You value clean, usable, modern design — and you can execute on it
You communicate openly and collaborate without ego - You love taking something off someone’s plate and coming back with real options
- You thrive in fast-paced environments and stay calm under shifting priorities
- You’re great with Figma: components, libraries, auto-layout, the works
- You design with real-world content and think beyond the “happy path”
This role is not for folks who need heavy direction, get defensive during feedback, or prefer long design cycles. We work fast, collaborate often, and treat each other with respect — and we’re looking for someone who thrives in that environment.
How We HireWe care more about how you think and work than your resume formatting. We’ll review your application, portfolio, and pre-screen questions. Then we’ll schedule a casual intro chat, followed by a working session around the design challenge.
