We are looking for a Product Designer, you will influence the experience of our client’s, Sony Pictures Entertainment, content across TV, PlayStation, web, and touch devices, shaping the design strategy and future for the New Media products that include Sony Pictures CORE and RIDEVU.

Partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Content, Marketing and Business, you will help define the New Media vision and ensure the creation of innovative experiences in the content distribution space. This role is for the designer who can comfortably work from pixel adjustments to strategic product vision.


Job Responsibilities

  • Solve design challenges and produce delightful UX and UI solutions ensuring usability, accessibility, and scalability.
  • Create design artifacts like user flows, wireframes, visual mocks, and prototypes from low to high-fidelity to communicate your ideas.
  • Prepare and deliver the designs, be able to support and evaluate solutions though production
  • Communicate the rationale behind your proposed solutions to team members and stakeholders
  • Handle several projects of various sizes and stages simultaneously.
  • Participate in usability testing to observe user interactions and gather feedback.
  • Assist in maintaining design documentation, user flows, and style guides.
  • Flexible and comfortable with ambiguity and change during a project.
  • Work with content assets to help create in-app artwork.

Job Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of UX/UI design experience, preferably in the entertainment, video streaming, gaming or similar spaces.
  • Ability to work across interaction design, visual design, and prototyping.
  • Experience with typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
  • Knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Figma and Photoshop
  • Experience with creating and maintaining design systems, file organization experience a bonus
  • Ability to articulate design decisions, accept feedback, and align teams around a shared vision.
  • Off-shore design collaboration experience a plus.
  • Have an available online portfolio.

Job Work Set up:

  • Onsite (Office Location: Culver City, CA) - Mondays to Thursdays / Remote - Fridays
  • 40 work hours/week
  • Full-Time Position with Benefits - Includes Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage through HMO available after 90 days of employment
  • Note: This position does not include Paid Time Off (PTO) or 401(k) benefits.
