OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox Corporation

Under the FOX banner, we produce and distribute content through some of the world’s leading and most valued brands, including: FOX News Media, FOX Sports, FOX Entertainment, FOX Television Stations and Tubi Media Group. We empower a diverse range of creators to imagine and develop culturally significant content, while building an organization that thrives on creative ideas, operational expertise and strategic thinking.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The FOX direct-to-consumer (DTC) platform is a new, forward-looking initiative within Tubi Media Group that brings FOX’s unparalleled content portfolio — news, sports, and entertainment — directly to consumers via an innovative subscription streaming service.

Our vision is to create a unified, modern viewing experience that puts the consumer first, seamlessly integrating live and on-demand content across platforms. At the intersection of cutting-edge technology and trusted storytelling, this is an opportunity to shape the future of streaming at one of the most pivotal moments in media. We’re assembling a world-class team to deliver on that vision, and we’re just getting started.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Product Designer II at Fox One, you will play a key role in shaping thoughtful, high-quality user experiences across our most strategic products, with a strong focus on content discovery and personalization. You will own the end-to-end design process for complex features, from research and concept through execution, partnering closely with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams. This role requires strong systems thinking, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and a commitment to elevating design quality through collaboration and craft.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use data, research, and user feedback to iterate on existing features and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate research insights and user requirements into thoughtful, compelling design solutions.
  • Contribute to design culture by sharing knowledge, mentoring junior designers, and improving team processes.
  • Rapidly concept, ideate, and execute multiple solutions. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals that bring clarity to ambiguous problems.
  • Adapt quickly to fast-moving timelines and evolving requirements.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to help ensure Fox One maintains a forward-thinking, competitive position.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a refined eye for visual craft, including composition, typography, and layout.
  • Apply interaction design and prototyping fluency to articulate and refine nuanced design decisions.
  • Contribute to the design system while advocating for accessibility and inclusive user experiences.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in Product Design, with experience shipping meaningful features or products from concept to launch. Experience designing for OTT platforms or streaming experiences is a plus.
  • Portfolio: A strong, well-organized portfolio demonstrating thoughtful problem solving, craft, and the ability to design complex, user-centered experiences. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
  • AI & Innovation: Exposure to designing AI-informed or personalized experiences is a plus, but not required. Curiosity about emerging technologies and their application to user experience is valued.
  • Launch & Iteration: Experience contributing to the launch of app features and improving them through data-informed iteration and optimization.
  • Systems Thinking: Experience working within and contributing to design systems to drive consistency and scalability across products.
  • Technical Fluency: Comfortable collaborating with engineering partners and navigating technical constraints. Proficient in modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
  • Craft & Growth Mindset: Actively explore new tools, workflows, and emerging technologies to continuously elevate your craft. Bring thoughtful recommendations that improve how we design, prototype, and collaborate.
  • Impact: A track record of shipping user-centered work that contributes to measurable product and business outcomes.
  • Collaboration & Location: Collaboration is key at Fox One. Our hybrid model provides flexibility to work from home or the office while staying closely connected to your team. This role is based in the United States and requires availability to work from the Los Angeles.
  • Regular on-site attendance at least three days per week is an essential function of this position. Selected candidates must be able to reliably meet this requirement.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
