Location: Remote

Orca’s vision is to build a financial system that puts people first. We envision a future where the majority of global financial transactions are driven by CLAMMs and other Decentralized Finance (DeFi) products. Our ambition reaches beyond becoming the leading provider of financial primitives in crypto—we aim to reshape the foundation of finance itself. We are building the next NASDAQ. If you are someone who is tired of just working another job and wants to build something meaningful, then we invite you to join our team.

You’ll be the dedicated Product Analyst at Orca—founding member of a new, mixed-methods Product Insights org. Product decisions live or die by the quality of our analytics. If you’re itching to own the entire product‑data stack—from event design to funnel insight—jump in the pod. Partnering with Ops and Qualitative Research, you’ll turn raw product and growth data into crisp stories and self-serve dashboards that guide every roadmap decision.

What You’ll Do:

  • Power cross-functional decisions – Serve as the go-to data and user behavior expert, developing and maintaining critical metrics and dashboards that capture not just product performance but also how people actually use and experience Orca.

  • Own the metrics that matter – define and monitor key KPIs, set targets, and proactively flag risks or opportunities for continuous product improvement.

  • Design meaningful data frameworks – Develop event taxonomies, document data contracts with Engineering, and evolve the tech stack. Ensure instrumentation captures user journeys, not just transactions.

  • Ship self-serve insight at speed – Build dashboards that surface patterns in product use in ways anyone—from designer to CEO—can act on. Implement validation, alerting, and version control to keep insights trustworthy.

  • Tell the user story behind the data – Go beyond charts: synthesize findings into human-centered narratives that explain what users are doing, why it matters, and how it should shape our roadmap.

  • Generate clear, concise insight reports – distill key findings and recommendations into narratives that drive exec, product, and growth decisions.

  • Scale our data culture – champion data‑driven thinking and mentor future analysts as the team grows.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3–6 years turning product or growth data into decisions at a SaaS, fintech, or web3 company.

  • Mastery of SQL and solid Python/R chops for ad‑hoc wrangling and modeling.

  • Fluency in funnel, cohort, retention, and experiment analysis, with the storytelling skills to translate them into user-centric narratives.

  • A portfolio of production dashboards and metrics frameworks your teams still use.

  • Hands‑on experience with a modern analytics stack (Mixpanel, Amplitude, dbt, Dune, Airflow/Superset, etc.).

  • Curiosity about DeFi and on‑chain data—and a willingness to pick up Solana basics fast.

  • Empathy for users and the drive to ensure every metric reflects their real needs and experiences.

Our Hiring Process:

We like to be transparent and efficient. We move fast, and this process will be short and intense. We believe this process gives candidates the best experience in getting decisions quickly instead of long, drawn out interview rounds that last weeks.

Initial Screen (30 min)

This will be for us to get an understanding of your experiences and test your knowledge of Solana and DeFi. It is also an opportunity for you to learn more about the role and company.

COO Round (30min)

This will be a conversation with Isaac, who is our COO. It's a chance for you to learn about Orca's history, present status, and its bright future. He will also gauge your knowledge of AMMs and DeFi.

CPO Round (60 min)

tmoc (Chief Product Officer) will do a deep dive on product, design and engineering perspectives.

Final Round (60 min each)

Matias (Head of Product Management) and Raph (Head of Product Insights) will do a deep dive on product, UX, and engineering perspectives.

Our stack

  • Rust, Timescale, Postgres

  • Next.js, Typescript, Zustand, Tailwind

  • Solana's Geyser plugin, Yellowstone gRPC

  • Solana smart contracts using Anchor

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
