The Producer/Writer is responsible for producing newscasts, writing and editing content, and collaborating with the production team to deliver compelling news broadcasts.

KTLA is looking for an experienced producer/writer for its #1 rated KTLA Weekend Morning News.
Responsibilities:
- To produce newscasts, write and edit VO’s and VOSOT’s for broadcast
- Oversee and organize production elements of newscasts
- Order graphics
- Work closely with Executive Producers, Producers, Reporters and the Assignment Desk to generate content
- Desktop editing skills required
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Three years of TV producing and newswriting experience preferred
- Candidates must demonstrate a passion for news. This includes keeping up on current events; updating stories with new information; and following social media daily.
- Willingness to work weekends
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere and ENPS a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills needed
- Positive attitude; ability to work under pressure and creativity a must
Compensation - $32/hr+ commensurate with skills and experience
