Senior Content Producer / Writer

Adyen is looking for an organized, proactive, strategic and collaborative senior content writer. This role will work from our San Francisco office.

The senior content writer role is focused on producing content that meets Adyen's business goals, in line with marketing and brand objectives. You will work on a range of briefs, including complex projects, while applying a strong understanding of Adyen’s value proposition. 

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable responding to existing briefs as they are initiating and developing broader strategic content briefs in collaboration with stakeholders. 

You are proficient in writing (long-form and short-form), editing, have strong project management skills and a good grasp of SEO. You are commercially minded, with a strong understanding of content strategy and how to build and manage content initiatives that drive business impact. As a senior content writer, you’ll also mentor and coach your fellow writers. 

What you’ll do

  • Write and edit copy for a variety of formats (e.g., blogs, reports, events, ad copy, social copy, landing pages, scripts). 
  • Be on-the-ground for case studies and shoots that involve content creation. 
  • Proficient in aligning content initiatives with commercial goals and the larger content strategy. 
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of business, marketing and brand goals when responding to a brief. 
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders and design partners from kickoff to delivery – being diligent with details and deadlines. 
  • Drive content development by researching and curating background information, data, and audience insights, complemented by interviews with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage content tasks and projects from concept to execution to distribution.
  • Set an example for how to apply clear goals and analyze the impact of the content, applying insights and digital marketing content best practices. 
  • Create and update writing templates and guidelines that can be used across studios, implementing new ways to work more efficiently.
  • Mentor writers across studios to ensure writing is at the highest quality.

Who you are: 

  • You have 10+ years of professional experience writing. 
  • You have proven success in concepting and executing content marketing initiatives for commercial outcomes.
  • You are a storyteller: curious and keen to discern the motivations, behaviors, and preferences of our audiences. 
  • You are curious and data-driven: you continue to refine and optimize your approach based on results. 
  • You have an impeccable eye for detail and ability to approach tasks with a journalistic attitude to find the angles and stories that matter.
  • You have a good understanding of what it means to write for digital channels: blending user experience and channel best practices, and how they fit into the bigger picture of content marketing.
  • You have the ability to self-start, stick to deadlines, and drive projects forward – while being open and comfortable to iteration and feedback.
  • You can build strong global working relationships across teams and timezones.
  • You have full professional proficiency (written and verbal) in US English.

  • This role is based out of our San Francisco office. We are an office-first company and value in-person collaboration; we do not offer remote-only roles.
  • Domestic and International travel required
