The Procurement Program Manager will spearhead the planning, preparation, & execution of steering committee meetings. Bringing together the heads of procurement from each business unit, these steering committee meetings are the primary means by which initiatives and priorities are determined, updates are shared, and opportunities are discussed for the entire procurement organization. As the driving force behind these meetings, you’ll develop your executive communication skills and build relationships across the enterprise while helping determine the long-term direction of the procurement initiative.

You’ll also collaborate on challenging and wide-ranging projects with the opportunity to own, lead, and drive lasting business improvements. You will expand your knowledge by solving complex business problems, creating strategies for change, and winning buy-in to successfully impact the company while receiving engaged support & mentorship from the team.

This position will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.

Job Description

  • Lead planning, preparation, and execution of steering committee meetings with the CFO and procurement senior leadership from the business unit teams
  • Drive goal setting, planning, and other strategic projects in support of the steering committee and procurement leadership
  • Spearhead large scale, enterprise-wide strategic initiatives to drive transformational change within procurement (including selecting / implementing new systems and identifying / implementing best practices)
  • Prepare presentations for owners and senior leadership summarizing the impact of procurement’s efforts and outlining our plans
  • Foster connections across teams / functions by planning events, coordinating conversations, and encouraging communication across groups
  • Execute cross-business unit cost savings projects for key categories and vendors ($1M+ in spend)
  • Lead and execute supplier communication and contract negotiation to secure favorable terms, drive cost savings, and ensure internal stakeholder requirements are met
  • Proactively generate ideas for potential projects by soliciting ideas from team members, researching best practices, reviewing vendor offerings, and using data to forecast potential impact
  • Lead cross-functional and cross-unit projects focused on improving processes, creating policies, & implementing tools to increase efficiency and efficacy of procurement
  • Plan, prepare, and facilitate training sessions including 40+ attendees to build capabilities of procurement personnel and share learnings from projects
  • Contribute and lead continuous improvement projects in the enterprise’s spirit of question everything

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a highly visible, facilitation-heavy, and strategy-oriented role
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
  • Significant experience / comfort with presenting to large groups and senior leadership
  • Strong sourcing and vendor management skills, including negotiations, contracting, and collaborative problem-solving
  • Experience gaining buy-in for and managing execution of complex cross-functional projects
  • Ability to quickly build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Desire to foster connections across teams and groups
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Sourcing or Food/CPG experience a plus
  • Flexibility for occasional travel (<10%) 
  • BA/BS in business or similar field

Pay Range: $100,000 - $110,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
