JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Process Planner to join our manufacturing team.  The Process Planner will be responsible for generating and updating the method of manufacturing components to comply with engineering drawings and process specifications.  Coordinating, optimizing and implementing production schedules to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with various departments, including engineering, production, procurement, and logistics, to maintain optimal inventory levels and meet customer demands.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate and update documentation required for fabrication, manufacturing and assembly of components to meet drawing and Robinson procedure specifications.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and production capacity.
  • Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate any delays, equipment failures, or other disruptions.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure raw materials are available for production and avoid shortages or excess inventory.
  • Analyze demand forecasts and adjust production plans accordingly to minimize waste and optimize resource usage.
  • Track and report key production metrics, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards in all production planning activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and resource utilization.
  • Continuously improving planning processes and systems to enhance productivity and efficiency.
QualificationsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Process Planner or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • A&P License is not required but would be ideal.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in material process planning, assembly planning or production planning preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency in production planning software (specifically: EPICOR Kinetic, but SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems is acceptable).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process optimization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices is a plus.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.

  • Effective Communications: Exceptional listening, verbal and written communication skills are required for the Process Planner role.
  • The position regularly needs to collaborate with department leaders, managers and their team members, vendors, to understand the needs of the Company.
  • Analytical Skills: The position is often involved in the research and reporting of reports, and data for analyzing compliance standards.
  • Project Management: The position is often involved with multiple projects at one time. The ability to organize details and complete projects in a timely manner is crucial in this position.
  • Time Management: Completes daily tasks, prioritizes, and meets project deadlines. Maintains productivity to keep campaigns on schedule.

Pay Range:  $28.00-$35.00/hour
