You should be a strategic, thoughtful, and savvy program management professional with a background in leading large-scale technology transformations and a passion for the entertainment industries.

You must be detail-oriented, hands-on, possess exceptional relationship-building skills, and enjoy working in a highly iterative, agile, and fast-paced environment. Must be flexible and able to move quickly from one subject to another.

The role will report to WME’s SVP, Product & Engineering based in Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead WME’s shift from legacy, project-based delivery to a modern Agile operating model.

  • Establish the systems, cadence, and workflows that keep Product & Engineering teams aligned and moving efficiently.

  • Unify tools and reporting across teams to improve visibility, delivery speed, and quality.

  • Manage the end-to-end program lifecycle—from planning and prioritization to QA, release, and measurement.

  • Drive operational excellence through data-informed processes, KPIs, and continuous improvement.

  • Support budget management and vendor coordination to ensure efficient resource use and measurable value.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Agile Transformation, or Product Operations.

  • Proven success leading organizations through the transition from waterfall to agile delivery.

  • Experience working with both in-house engineering teams and offshore/third-party developers.

  • Strong technical literacy with engineering workflows (Git, CI/CD, error monitoring, testing, and release management).

  • Skilled in integrating systems and automating workflows to reduce manual overhead.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence without direct authority.

  • Experience managing program budgets and working in a Microsoft-based enterprise environment preferred.

Success in 12 Months

Within a year, the Principal Technical Program Manager will have unified WME’s product and engineering operations under a consistent Agile delivery model. Teams will operate on a shared cadence with clear planning cycles, standardized workflows, and transparent reporting. Leadership will have real-time visibility into progress and outcomes, and programs will ship faster, with greater predictability and impact across the business.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
