As a Principal Technical Program Manager in Digital and Platform Services, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the delivery of complex software initiatives in the digital banking space. You will lead multi-functional technology projects and programs that impact experiences for clients, employees, and stakeholders across the firm. Your advanced analytical reasoning and adaptability will enable you to break down business, technical, and operational objectives into manageable tasks, while navigating ambiguity and driving transformative change. With demonstrated technical fluency, you will manage large portfolios, resources, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions aligned with the firm's strategic goals. Your exceptional communication and influencing abilities will foster productive relationships with executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment, effective risk management, and high-confidence operational delivery. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the development of new policies and processes, shaping the future of our technology landscape and strengthening JPM Digital Banking initiatives across diverse products and services.
Job responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic technical program plans that define and drive the vision, strategy, and execution of large-scale software delivery programs for digital banking, aligning objectives with business goals and long-term technology roadmaps.
  • Oversee complex technology project and program execution, managing resources, budgets, and timelines across a portfolio of digital banking initiatives, while mitigating risks, addressing dependencies, and resolving escalations.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams, including product, design, risk, operations, engineering, compliance, and external partners; facilitate alignment and decision-making across diverse groups.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for executive leadership, providing clear, concise updates on program status, risks, and strategic decisions; prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and recommendations to senior management and steering committees.
  • Champion continuous improvement and process optimization by identifying opportunities, incorporating best practices in program management, governance, and software delivery, and driving innovation in program execution.
  • Mentor and lead program managers and delivery leads, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive program roadmaps, establish KPIs, and implement reporting frameworks to ensure transparency and accountability for all initiatives.
  • Guide the selection and implementation of appropriate technologies, platforms, and software tools, leveraging advanced technical fluency to enable transformative solutions.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 12+ years of experience in program management or technology leadership, with a proven track record overseeing large-scale software delivery in digital banking, fintech, or enterprise technology environments.
  • Demonstrated strategic acumen with the ability to set vision, drive strategy, and deliver results in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills, with experience presenting to and influencing senior executives and board-level stakeholders.
  • Expertise in portfolio and program management, including managing multiple concurrent programs, budgets, and resources at scale.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive consensus, and inspire action across all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, Agile) highly desirable.
