Crunchyroll is looking for a Principal Systems Transformation Manager to lead systems transformation initiatives that optimize workflows, governance, and content delivery across our global media operations. In this leadership role you'll ensure that creative content, technical accuracy, and compliance standards are seamlessly integrated while driving scalable, efficient systems and processes for global content distribution.
Reporting to the Director of Business Transformation, you'll work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, legal, and business teams to deliver compliant, high-quality content to audiences worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead systems transformation initiatives to optimize global content delivery, governance, and workflows
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable programs and align cross-functional teams (engineering, business, legal, operations)
- Design scalable metadata and content flow structures, ensuring accuracy, rights/territory alignment, and compliance with standards like MovieLabs
- Develop and oversee workflows for quality control, secure asset delivery, and provenance tracking
- Streamline global servicing and delivery of localized content, leveraging automation for speed, accuracy, and scalability
- Implement and govern scalable systems and tools, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Use data analytics to monitor system performance, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure alignment, accountability, and successful execution
We are considering applicants available to work a hybrid schedule, with three days each week onsite at our Los Angeles office.
About You- 15+ years experience in systems transformation or related roles within media, entertainment, or streaming
- Proven track record managing large-scale, complex programs with technical and cross-functional dependencies
- Deep understanding of content delivery pipelines, metadata management, and industry standards (MovieLabs, IMF, EMA)
- Expertise in designing scalable, efficient workflows and leveraging automation to optimize global servicing operations
- Experience delivering localized content versions on time, aligned with global rights, territories, and format requirements
- Ability to align systems and workflows with strategic business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry trends
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills; trusted advisor to leadership and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with cloud-based delivery systems, metadata tools, and quality control technologies
- Familiarity with secure asset delivery protocols, encryption standards, and compliance frameworks
- Data-driven and innovation-focused, with the ability to monitor performance, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and drive continuous improvement
