Northrop Grumman is seeking qualified and motivated professionals for the role of Principal/Senior Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist with experiences in supply chain management and/or related fields (including business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, and manufacturing).

This position can be filled as a Band 3 or Band 4 and will be located in Linthicum, MD. This role is a Hybrid role requiring 2 days in the NGC office.

The Supply Chain Planning Specialist's responsibilities will encompass but are not limited to:

  • CAM responsibilities and EV management. 
  • Manage/report and forecast material cost/performance of assigned program/s (Material Receipt Tool, CMEs, IPRS).
  • Develops, coordinates, and executes material forecasting and delivery schedule.
  • Defines and develops material strategy. 
  • Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; plans inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products. 
  • Participates in make/buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management and product-line management.
  • Analyzes and aggregates supply / demand requirements. 
  • Analyzes purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools. 
  • Plans inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements. 
  • Creates/reduces supply requirements based on inventory adjustments. 
  • Participates in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs. 
  • Interfaces with Source process area regarding inventory levels, working capital and other areas as needed. 
  • Creates/releases requisitions. 
  • Receives/reviews requirements for non-standard parts. 
  • Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements.
  • Candidate must be able to make sound decisions on time, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by the regulated industry.

Basic Qualifications Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist (03): 

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of supply chain, general business, finance, or sales experience or master’s degree with 4+ years of supply chain, general business, finance, or sales experience 
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite with expertise in MS Excel
  • Experience and/or knowledge in a manufacturing and/or repair depot environment 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance (US Citizenship is required.)
  • Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations
  • Experience purchasing material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools

Basic Qualifications Senior Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist (04):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business discipline from an accredited university and 10+ years of subcontracts, supplier management, procurement or project management experience OR Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management with 8+ year experience. (Will consider 14+ years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement.)
  • Ability to be agile and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced working knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite with expertise in MS Excel
  • Advanced experience purchasing material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools
  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • CAM experience and certification
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain process strongly preferred
  • Financial background in financial executions - Earned Value Management, Return To Greens, Material Forecasting and Variance Analysis
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings
  • Experience in proposal roles and responsibilities
  • Experience in SAP (MES) (or related) 
  • Experience working with radar related technologies
  • Material management experience
  • Experience with cost, schedule, variance reporting
  • People leadership and familiarity with DOD Operations 

Salary Range: $84,600.00 - $127,000.00Salary Range 2: $104,900.00 - $157,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
