The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist II to work at our Hydration and Beverage
facility in Winchester, VA. A successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating EHS processes that include Safety & Health,
Environmental, and Facility Security. The candidate must also ensure our facility is maintaining compliance with all applicable federal,
state, and local laws and regulations, and Kraft Heinz policies/procedures and processes. The EHS Specialist II will report to the EHS
Security Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in safety and environmental management, Industrial Hygiene or equivalent is preferred.
• Preferred 1-3 years' experience in safety and environmental management.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA Regulations, DOT Regulations and Management Systems (i.e., ISO 14001).
• Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM),
and OSHA 30 training are preferred.
• Permit Experience - Air, Wastewater, and Storm Water is preferred

• Supports Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) processes that include Safety & Health, Environment, Business Continuity,
Facility Security, Asset Conservation, and Department of Transportation (DOT) for the factory.
• Day to day evaluation of EHS documentation and data reporting trends. Specifically, assisting with the tracking and collection
of Risk Triggers, BOS, and QRPs to understand facility trends for future improvement.
• Analyze data from multiple cross functional databases to develop actional steps that will improve processes and optimize
results.
• Assists in the development and implementation of EHS strategies that align with corporate objectives to reduce/mitigate
operational risk.
• Apply key metrics to drive site ORM performance.
• Collaborate with Plant Trainers to ensure EHS training courses are up to company standards for factory personnel and updates
training as needed.
• Ensures site adheres to the applicable Kraft Heinz Management System's (KHMS) policies, procedures, processes, and operating principles. • Recommend policies and procedures to reflect current work processes. • Develops knowledge of EHS required functions / compliance activities (Environmental, OSHA, Worker's Compensation, etc.) • Assists with investigations using RCFA for all incidents and manages action plans to closure • Assists in Worker's Compensation process as needed • Maintains accountability for KHMS / EHS system and operational standards. • Partners with business leaders on implementation of process improvements. • Completes required reporting on a regular basis, in compliance with corporate Safety Process, Safety Rules and regulatory reporting requirements. • Assists in the facilitation of all KHMS standards related to EHS. • Purchasing for site safety, GMP and production related supplies. • EHS representative at all Safety team meetings, working with the team and team leaders to improve current safety rules procedures and processes. • Manages the site's LOTO and Machine guarding inventories. Role helps generate yearly audits of both inventories and collaborates with management on improvements/changes in either. • Always leads by example including being flexible and adaptable • Coordinate work assignments and track to completion • Ensures continuous improvement with waste streams and recycling program • Assist in collecting samples for the laboratory and complete the DMR's as needed • Willing to become certified in CPR/AED and complete First Responder Training • Coordinate with EHS department to ensure all tasks and inspections are completed on schedule • Assist in managing our universal waste program • Creates PO's, makes purchases, and reconciles as needed • Performs other duties, projects, and assignments as needed Benefits & Compensation Overview: Kraft Heinz offers a generous and comprehensive benefit and compensation package: • Medical • Dental • Vision • Life insurance • Short- and long-term disability • Employee Assistance Program • 401k • Starting hourly pay of $36.79
