The role
Raydar is recruiting for this opportunity through the Paraform network. The position is with our client. Own RF communications payload architecture and delivery as a principal individual contributor, from requirements through testing and operational performance.
What you'll do
- Define payload architecture, phased-array antennas, RF front ends, and frequency plans.
- Design beamforming, calibration, coverage, and handover strategies.
- Own link budgets, modulation, coding, Doppler, and interference analysis.
- Lead RF verification, over-the-air testing, and environmental qualification.
- Coordinate with cellular network teams on standards compatibility and support mission operations.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- At least 8 years in RF or communications systems engineering.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related RF discipline.
- Experience designing, building, testing, and delivering new commercial RF or satellite communications products.
- Phased-array or electronically steered antenna design experience.
- Knowledge of 4G LTE, 5G NR, or 3GPP non-terrestrial network standards.
- Eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance if required; an active clearance is not required to apply.
Benefits
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: USD 255,000 to 270,000 per year.
- Equity: Competitive.
- Relocation assistance up to USD7,000 for out-of-state moves.
Location and work model
- Hybrid with three days per week in the Mountain View office.
- Visa transfer support is available; new visa sponsorship is not available.
