Drata is building the trust layer between great companies - automating compliance, managing risk, and helping organizations prove trust continuously as they scale. We're Dratanauts: a global crew of 600+ professionals united by a culture that rewards integrity, ownership, and raising the bar, no matter where in the world we're working from.
Why Join the Drata Team?
At Drata, you're not maintaining legacy compliance software - you're building the agentic AI platform defining what trust looks like for the next generation of companies. Here's what makes the work itself worth showing up for:

  • Problems without a playbook: You'll work at the edge of AI and security, building agentic governance, continuous compliance, and real-time trust verification to solve problems that don't have an established answer yet. You're writing it as you go.

  • Real ownership, not just process: Our values center on owning outcomes and raising the bar, not checking boxes. You're expected to have opinions and back them.

  • A seat at the table: Your perspective is unique and valued. Open debate and diverse viewpoints are built into how decisions actually get made here, at every level.

  • Growth at rocketship speed: Drata is scaling fast, which means scope grows fast too. High performers get more ownership, visibility, and experience.

  • A crew, not just coworkers: Dratanauts consistently describe a "come as you are" culture with sharp, curious people—the kind of team that makes hard problems genuinely fun to solve. See what they say here and follow us on LinkedIn for company news, employee stories, and career updates.

Job Summary:

Drata is looking for a Principal Product Marketing Manager to own how our compliance portfolio comes to market — from strategy through the operational details that get every launch across the finish line. This is a senior, high-autonomy role with no direct reports and high impact. You'll set the positioning and narrative for compliance, run the launch machine behind it, and act as the connective tissue across Product, Marketing, Sales, CS, RevOps, and leadership. If you do your best work as the person who connects all the dots, builds structure where there isn't any, and moves fluidly between strategy and hands-on execution, this is the role.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned SaaS product marketer who operates with the judgment of a director without needing a team to drive outcomes — equally comfortable shaping the category narrative and owning the timeline, the readiness criteria, and the deck.

What you'll do:

  • Own end-to-end GTM strategy and execution for compliance launches, framework expansions, and feature rollouts — from positioning and messaging through readiness, rollout, and adoption.

  • Run and continuously improve the NPI process for compliance: tiering and readiness criteria, launch governance, templates, task structures, and documentation that make launches faster, more consistent, and more predictable over time.

  • Act as the product marketing DRI across Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Enablement — driving alignment and execution through influence and quality of work, and building structure in ambiguous, fast-moving situations.

  • Lead compliance positioning and the category narrative, grounded in customer insight, market dynamics, and competitive intelligence, and translate advanced compliance and automation capabilities into differentiated business value.

  • Own the GTM communications cadence for compliance — recurring updates to ELT, GTM leadership, and the revenue org; crisp weekly updates across Slack, email, and decks tailored to each audience; and early surfacing of launch risks, dependencies, and decisions so leaders can act with confidence.

  • Produce the core internal and external launch assets — messaging, decks, one-pagers, launch briefs, enablement materials, and executive-ready content — and maintain high-quality, on-brand GTM slide repositories that stay accurate to the latest product scope.

  • Establish the measurement approach for launches, campaigns, and adoption, and use those insights to sharpen messaging, process, and execution quality over time.

  • Champion AI-native workflows to accelerate research, content, testing, and execution without sacrificing rigor.

What you'll bring:

  • 10+ years of product marketing experience, with significant time in SaaS — ideally in cybersecurity, GRC, security tooling, or adjacent enterprise platforms.

  • A track record of executing complex, multi-team product launches end to end, with measurable impact on adoption, pipeline, and revenue.

  • Strong project-management instincts — able to manage multiple priorities, owners, and deadlines simultaneously and turn process into execution.

  • Deep understanding of enterprise and mid-market buyers across risk, security, compliance, and governance functions, and the ability to turn technical products into compelling, differentiated narratives.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, especially for executive audiences and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated cross-functional influence across Product, Sales, RevOps, Enablement, and Marketing leadership — without relying on formal authority.

  • Comfort operating at both strategic and highly hands-on levels, and hands-on fluency with AI-enabled workflows (e.g., Claude, Notion AI, Jasper, or similar).

What Success Looks Like

  • Major launches are better planned, better communicated, and better adopted across the business

  • GTM teams have clarity on what is launching, when, why it matters, and how to talk about it

  • Leadership has consistent visibility into launch status, risks, and next steps

  • The NPI process is running smoothly, with fewer surprises and faster execution

  • Core launch assets and communications are delivered with quality and speed

  • Cross-functional teams rely on you as the person who helps make launches happen

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
