Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting the Manufacturing Operations organization. The is a full-time, on-site position located in Palmdale, CA.
This key HRBP role reports to a Human Resources Manager 2 in the Aeronautics Systems (AS) sector. The selected candidate will join a collaborative HR team supporting a priority program within Northrop Grumman. The HRBP will consult on and support the design and implementation of HR strategies, initiatives, programs, and guidelines across the full employee lifecycle. Focus areas include talent identification, performance management, employee relations, compensation, reward and recognition, staffing, succession planning, organizational and leadership development, and other key disciplines within the HR body of knowledge. The HRBP will partner closely with HR subject matter experts and business leaders to implement these solutions through strong influence, execution, and project management The selected candidate will also lead and manage HR projects end-to-end, demonstrating the ability to plan, organize, implement, and close multiple projects simultaneously across diverse HR workstreams.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with manufacturing leaders to develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs (e.g., succession planning, workforce development, compensation, and EEO) that align with business goals.
- Project Management: Lead, plan, and execute multiple concurrent HR projects from inception to completion, driving organizational change and process improvements.
- Talent & Performance Management: Drive talent identification, performance management, and career development initiatives to build bench strength and enhance employee retention.
- Employee Relations & Culture: Act as a trusted advisor to build a supportive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with HR peers, leaders, and Centers of Excellence (COE’s) including compensation, employee relations, legal, and organization effectiveness to deliver seamless HR solutions across the organization.
- Communication: Effectively engage with a geographically dispersed leadership team, demonstrating strong cross-cultural awareness.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Human Resources Business Partner:
- Bachelor’s degree AND 5 years of Human Resources experience OR Masters degree and 3 years of Human Resources experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S Government Secret clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet business needs
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 15% of the time
