Job Description

The Opportunity:

At Flywire, pricing is one of the most powerful levers we have for growth, deal quality, and long-term value creation. As Flywire scales a multi-product platform across verticals, regions, and buyer types, getting pricing right matters more every year.
The Pricing & Commercial Growth Specialist sits on the Commercial Pricing and Growth team and partners closely with Sales, Product, Product Marketing, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Legal. This is a highly visible, hands-on role for someone who combines analytical rigor with strong commercial instincts and wants to directly influence Flywire’s growth trajectory.
This role will help shape how we price, package, and structure deals across Flywire, improving margin, increasing deal size, and driving long-term customer value.

What You Will Do

  • Drive pricing and packaging strategy: Partner on Flywire's pricing and packaging strategy across products, verticals, and customer segments. Help design and refine value-based pricing models, bundles, and offers grounded in customer value and market position.
  • Turn data into commercial decisions: Analyze deal data, usage patterns, win/loss outcomes, and market signals to identify pricing opportunities and friction points. Translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations that improve deal quality, margin, and growth.
  • Improve deal structure and commercial guardrails: Partner with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Legal to develop scalable deal structures, pricing guardrails, and commercial policies. Help balance flexibility for sellers with consistency and margin discipline.
  • Own partner pricing and revenue share models: Help design and govern partner pricing structures, revenue share agreements, and referral or reseller economics. Ensure alignment with Flywire’s broader monetization strategy.
  • Contribute to pricing governance and reporting: Help track and report on pricing KPIs including ACV, margin, price realization, deal velocity, and exception rates. Surface insights that inform how we price and package going forward.
  • Enable the field: Partner with Sales and Revenue Operations to operationalize pricing frameworks. Develop tools, playbooks, and materials that help sellers communicate value and negotiate effectively.
  • Support strategic cross-functional initiatives: Work across Product, Product Marketing, and Finance on pricing for new product launches, expansions, and major commercial initiatives.

What Success Looks Like

  • Improved price realization and reduced discounting
  • Increased average deal size and margin expansion
  • Scalable pricing frameworks across products and verticals
  • Reduced deal exceptions and improved commercial consistency
  • Strong adoption of pricing tools and frameworks by Sales

Qualifications

Here's What We're Looking For:

  • 2-4+ years of experience in pricing, commercial strategy, revenue operations, or a related function within a B2B SaaS or platform company. Management consulting, investment banking, and/or private equity/venture capital investing experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical capability: Comfortable working with deal and revenue data, building models, and identifying actionable insights.
  • AI fluency: You don't just use AI tools, you build with them. You're comfortable designing workflows, automating repetitive analysis, and finding creative ways to apply AI to commercial problems. Whether that's building a pricing model that pulls live deal data, prompting an LLM to synthesize win/loss patterns, or automating a reporting pipeline — you treat AI as a force multiplier and bring that instinct to everything you do.
  • Commercial intuition: Understanding of value-based pricing, packaging, partner economics, and deal structure dynamics.
  • Pragmatic and execution-oriented: Able to manage multiple workstreams and move between strategy and execution in a fast-moving environment.
  • Clear communicator: Able to build structured recommendations and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborative by default: Comfortable working across Sales, Product, Finance, and leadership to drive alignment.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
