Company Overview

Clearwater Analytics is the leading provider of web-based investment portfolio accounting, reporting, and reconciliation services for institutional investors at thousands of organizations. Clearwater aggregates, reconciles, and reports on more than $5.5 trillion in assets across thousands of accounts daily. Our clients include corporate treasuries, insurance companies, investment managers, banks, governments, and other institutional investors both in the United States and worldwide.

With global headquarters in Boise, Idaho, and offices in Edinburgh, London, New Delhi, New York, and Singapore, Clearwater sets the new global standard for investment portfolio reporting.

The Role

Clearwater Analytics partners with the world's most sophisticated institutional investors — asset managers, insurers, and institutional accounts — and this is a highly visible role on the Corporate Pricing team, created to keep pace with our growth. Every one of those client relationships carries its own contract history, its own pricing terms, and its own renewal cycle, and getting that right, on time, at scale, is what protects the revenue and trust we've built with them.

As Pricing Analyst, you'll own the research, documentation, and reconciliation work behind our annual fee-increase and renewal cycle: reading commercial contracts to identify the operative pricing terms, reconstructing a client's fee history, populating client notices with the correct figures, and keeping fee records and an escalation log current against key dates. You'll work closely with the Corporate Pricing team and partner with Sales, Finance, and Legal to make sure every renewal is built on accurate, defensible numbers.

Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States and not require visa sponsorship in the future.

What You Will Do

● Research prior fee increases by reviewing MSAs, order forms, and amendment chains to reconstruct a client's contract and pricing history.

● Draft client fee-increase notices, correctly applying the governing pricing clause and catching edge cases along the way.

● Finalize fee records on a monthly cadence, ensuring accuracy given their downstream impact on client invoices.

● Own the escalation log and contract repository, giving the team visibility into every open renewal and where it stands.

● Partner across Sales, Finance, and Legal to keep dozens of enterprise renewals moving in parallel, each on its own timeline.

Education & Requirements

● Contract literacy: able to read an MSA, order form, or amendment and correctly identify the operative clause (escalator type, effective date, renewal mechanism, notice period) without hand-holding.

● Strong attention to detail and comfort owning a queue of dozens of open items at different stages.

● Strong Excel/tracker discipline and comfort with dates as the organizing principle of the job.

● Genuine curiosity for messy, ambiguous documents — someone who enjoys digging through a document trail until the timeline makes sense.

● Exposure to CPI/index-based pricing clauses, familiarity with financial services or SaaS commercial contracts, prior experience in pricing operations/contract administration/paralegal work, or prior client-facing experience are all a plus but not required.

What We Offer

● Business casual atmosphere in a flexible working environment

● Team-focused culture that promotes innovation and ownership

● Access to cutting-edge investment reporting technology and expertise

● 401(k) with match

● PTO and volunteer time off to give back to the community

● Defined and undefined career pathways allowing you to grow your own way

● Work from anywhere three weeks out of the year

● Work-from-home Fridays

● Maternity and paternity leave

Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location. Benefits include health/vision/dental insurance, 401(k), PTO, parental leave, and medical leave, STD/LTD insurance benefits.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
