About the role

The Presentation Manager, Engineering Operations will elevate how Engineering communicates strategy, progress, and impact across the company. Reporting to the VP, Engineering Operations, this individual will own the creation of executive-ready presentations, strategic narratives, visualizations, and frameworks that help Engineering leaders influence stakeholders, secure alignment, and clearly communicate complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.

This role is ideal for someone with strong communication, narrative structuring, and slide-building skills—whether gained through consulting, product strategy, program management, or in-house strategy/ops roles. The ideal candidate understands how to translate engineering initiatives, metrics, and concepts into compelling stories that resonate with executive leadership, cross-functional partners, and the broader organization.

We work a hybrid schedule, in-office three days a week; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We are considering applicants for our Los Angeles, California office.

Core Areas of Responsibility

Strategic Storytelling & Executive Communication

  • Develop clear, compelling narratives for Engineering strategy, quarterly business reviews, planning cycles, org announcements, and investment proposals.
  • Partner with Engineering leadership to distill complex technical information into concise strategic messages.
  • Support storytelling that can be easily understood across all cross-functional business units.

Presentation & Deck Development

  • Own the end-to-end creation of executive-quality presentations (structure, visuals, layout, story flow) for Engineering.
  • Build slides for Engineering VPs, SVP of Engineering, and cross-functional leadership engagements.
  • Maintain consistent visual and narrative standards across all Engineering presentations.

Engineering Insights & Visualization

  • Work with Global Engineering Operations to visualize key metrics for performance reviews, scorecards, and planning.
  • Create reusable frameworks and templates to streamline communication across the department.
  • Translate data insights into digestible charts, frameworks, and messaging.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Global Eng Ops, and TPMs to understand priorities and ensure story alignment.
  • Serve as an internal advisor to Engineering leaders on communication strategy for large initiatives.
  • Work with Comms, L&D, Finance, and People teams as needed to align on narratives, timelines, and artifacts.
  • Support internal organizational change communications when needed.

Operational Excellence

  • Establish scalable processes for deck production and storytelling support (intake, prioritization, templates).
  • Ensure that Engineering messaging is consistent across regions (India, Mexico, US).
  • Help drive clarity, alignment, and visibility across Engineering's highest-priority initiatives.
About You

We get excited about candidates, like you, because...

  • You have 8+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy, operations, PMO, or a similar field.
  • You have proven experience building presentations and flowcharts that convey technical concepts in a way that is easy to understand by all stakeholders
  • You have the ability to synthesize complex ideas into actionable insights and executive-ready stories.
  • You have experience working with engineering or technical teams (preferred)
  • You possess strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
  • You possess a high degree of organization; able to manage simultaneous deadlines.
About the Team

The Engineering Operations team is a multiplier with the broader Engineering organization. We create operational effectiveness, define and nurture organizational culture, and inform and communicate cross-functionally. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
