Who we are

We're a leading, global security authority that's disrupting our own category.  Our encryption is trusted by the major ecommerce brands, the world's largest companies, the major cloud providers, entire country financial systems, entire internets of things and even down to the little things like surgically embedded pacemakers.  We help companies put trust - an abstract idea - to work. That's digital trust for the real world.

Job summary

We are looking for a Portfolio Product Manager to drive execution of cross-functional initiatives that span across DigiCert’s Public Trust portfolio and beyond. This role is best suited for a product manager with a strong engineering background who thrives in structured program management, yet brings a product mindset to decision-making and trade-offs.

You will act as the connective tissue across Product, Engineering, Compliance, and other business units, ensuring that complex initiatives are executed with precision, aligned to business objectives, and delivered on time. This role centers on owning execution at scale, enabling DigiCert to move quickly and effectively on high-impact programs.

What you will do

  • Drive end-to-end execution of cross-functional initiatives, ensuring deliverables meet scope, quality, and deadlines.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to translate requirements into actionable plans with clear owners and milestones.
  • Anticipate risks and proactively manage dependencies, escalating where needed to ensure alignment and delivery.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on prioritization and resource allocation across programs.
  • Track and report on program success metrics (e.g., execution velocity, risk mitigation, delivery against OKRs).
  • Act as a thought partner and force multiplier for Product and Engineering leadership, ensuring initiatives are not just delivered, but delivered in a way that improves repeatability and scale.

What you will have

  • 5+ years in product management, program management, or technical leadership roles, with a track record of leading large, complex initiatives.
  • Deep experience in program management disciplines: planning, tracking, reporting, risk management, dependency management.
  • Proven ability to work across functions (Product, Engineering, Compliance, Sales, Support, Marketing) and influence without direct authority.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills; able to translate between executive strategy and engineering execution.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present program progress, risks, and outcomes to executives.
  • Comfortable with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and portfolio/program dashboards.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries or compliance-driven environments is a plus.

Success in this Role Looks Like

  • High-impact initiatives delivered on time, on scope, and with clear business outcomes.
  • Improved cross-functional execution discipline across the Public Trust portfolio and adjacent programs.
  • Risks identified early, tracked transparently, and mitigated proactively.
  • Leadership and stakeholders have clear visibility into OKR health and progress at all times.
  • The role becomes a trusted execution partner to Product, Engineering, and Compliance leadership.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
