The Job:  

As a Plant Controller, Aerofit, you’ll be part of our Industrial Finance Controllership team working as an on-site employee.    You’ll get to:  

Financial Governance & Internal Controls

  • Maintain accurate financial statements in strict accordance with US GAAP and corporate policies.
  • Lead comprehensive month-end and quarterly closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Drive full compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and continuously improve the site’s internal control environment.
  • Oversee inventory management, including the coordination of year-end physical inventories, cycle counting programs, and the development of robust control procedures.
  • Manage the fixed asset sub-ledger, including expenditure monitoring, Construction-in-Progress (CIP) reviews, and asset audits.
  • Proactively identify accounting risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.

Operational Business Partnership

  • Collaborate with the Plant Manager and operations team to provide transparent, actionable financial reporting.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
  • Analyze plant performance and variances, translating data into insights that drive operational improvements.
  • Provide high-level scenario modeling and ad-hoc business case analysis to support strategic investment and ROI.
  • Deliver financial presentations to plant leadership, business units, and corporate stakeholders.
  • Standardize routine business processes to eliminate waste and drive value creation.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional development within the finance and operations teams.

The Person:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 7-10 years experience with proven track record in a manufacturing operations environment with deep knowledge of cost accounting.  Must have at least 5 years experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in financial statement analysis, product costing, and business case development.
    • Experience with Epicor Avante and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is highly preferred.
  • Leadership: A strategic thinker who can work independently while collaborating across all levels of the organization.
  • Attributes: High integrity, a "continuous improvement" mindset, and the ability to thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment.

The base pay range for this position in California is $105,400 - $169,625 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
