Job Title: Planner, Global Demand Planning

Reports to:  Sr Manager Global Demand Planning

Location:  Remote – West Coast preferred

The Role

The Demand Planner will play a critical role in optimizing and expanding the Global Demand Planning function to drive greater business impact. This role is responsible for providing visibility, analysis, statistical forecasts, and insight of global brand, category, and key style plans. From Product Creation and Go-To-Market (GTM) processes through seasonal execution, this role provides analytics to inform cross-functional decisions related to long range commercial strategy, product assortment strategy, tracking key performance indicators, and inputs into Supply Chain decisions. Additionally, this role will contribute to the Global Brand S&OP process considering multiple data and cross-functional inputs at various milestones in the planning calendar. Individuals in this role may also expect to drive and participate in continuous improvement activities and/or projects representing the functional team.

Your Impact
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:

  • Demand Planning and Forecasting: Develop and continuously refine accurate demand forecasts through data analysis, statistical forecasting methodologies, market trend assessment, and inputs from key stakeholders.
  • Global Data, Reporting, and Analysis: Create reports and provide analysis related to seasonal hind-sighting, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), forecast accuracy, and assortment optimization informing decisions related to line planning/product creation and supply chain execution.
  • System/Functional Support: Support the growth of the Global Demand Planning function by implementing and documenting best practices, guiding new team members, and aiding in planning system and process rollouts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams including Regional Planning, Finance, and Supply Chain, to support strategic alignment of demand forecasts and integration of business insights across global markets.

Who You Are

  • A skilled demand planner savvy with systems and a passion for data, forecasting, and scenario planning
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • A self-starter with a curious mindset and desire for continuous improvement

We’d love to hear from people with

  • 2-3 years of professional experience in demand planning, merchandise planning or related fields
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and moderate experience using other Microsoft suite applications
  • Strong forecasting and analytical skills with experience in statistical forecasting methods and demand planning systems
  • Functional subject matter expertise in Merchandise Planning/Demand Planning

$75,000 - $85,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary for your preferred location during the hiring process.
