About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

At Informatica, a Salesforce Company, our employees are empowered to push their bold ideas forward, and we are united by a shared passion for using data to do the extraordinary for each other and the world. We seek innovative thinkers who believe in the power of data to drive meaningful change. We're growing the team and looking for a Product Information Management (PIM) Specialist to join our Solution Engineering team!

The Experience

The PIM Specialist SE position is focused on Informatica's Product 360 / PIM solution. You'll be the go-to expert for discovery, demos, competitive positioning, and technical solutioning for PIM-centric opportunities across the field.  The PIM Specialist is a seasoned PIM practitioner — technically sharp, demo-fluent, story-driven, and deeply passionate about helping customers solve real product data challenges. This role will own the narrative and drive outcomes.

 What You'll Actually Be Doing

  • Using hands-on expertise with Informatica or other Product 360 (PIM/MDM) to deliver compelling, story-driven demos tailored to customer use cases (e-commerce, digital asset management, product data governance, etc.)

  • Working with complex data architectures — ERP integrations, digital asset management, multilingual/localization workflows, and product hierarchy management

  • Articulating Informatica's value and differentiation using competitive knowledge of the PIM landscape (e.g., Akeneo, Salsify, Stibo, Riversand, Syndigo)

  • Presenting and engaging both business and technical level stakeholders

  • Acting as a trusted advisor for account teams, supporting RFPs, POCs, and onsite engagements

  • Collaborating as a team player with a community-building mindset — sharing  knowledge, building enablement assets, and contributing to the broader SE community

You're Our Person If…

You possess a degree in Computer Science (B.S., Master's, or Ph.D.) with minimum of 8-10 years demonstrated experience in the following areas:

Product & Data Modeling

  • Hands-on expertise with Informatica Product 360, MDM, or equivalent PIM platforms (e.g., Akeneo, Salsify, Stibo, Riversand, Syndigo)

  • Strong understanding of product data modeling — attribute management, classification hierarchies, product families, variants, BOM, and bundles

  • Data governance frameworks — data quality rules, stewardship workflows, approval processes, and completeness scoring

Integrations & Architecture

  • Digital Commerce — product content syndication to PIM-connected storefronts (Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce, Magento), PDP enrichment, and SEO-ready content workflows

  • ERP — SAP (S/4HANA, ECC), Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics; understanding of item master management and data flows between ERP and PIM

  • DAM — linking rich media (images, videos, documents) to product records; familiarity with platforms a plus (e.g., Bynder, Canto, Cloudinary)

  • API & Integration Patterns — REST/SOAP APIs, ETL/ELT pipelines, and middleware (MuleSoft, Informatica IDMC, Boomi) for product data ingestion and syndication

Emerging Capabilities

  • Data Enrichment & AI — AI-assisted attribute tagging, auto-classification, and generative content capabilities within modern PIM platforms

  • Multilingual/Localization — managing regional product data variants, translation workflows, and country-specific compliance attributes

Industry Experience Preferred

  • Retail — planogram data, omnichannel product syndication, GS1/GTIN standards, retail trading partner onboarding (Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.), and digital shelf readiness

  • Manufacturing — BOM management, technical specifications, regulatory/compliance data (REACH, RoHS, SDS), spare parts catalogs, and supplier-facing data enrichment

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
