FAM Brands is looking for a driven professional with a collaborative mindset to join our team as a Photo Editor.
In the role of Photo Editor, you will finalize and output images across a variety of marketing and merchandising projects, from quick-turn image refreshes, high volume eCom batches, and images for advertising. For any given project you may be called on for retouching – including color balance and manipulation, cleanup, compositing, masking, background extensions, and overall beautification of photographs in a timely and efficient manner. You will regularly collaborate with creatives and internal stakeholders across the businesses in the postproduction process.
- Retouching high volume e-commerce, product photography, wholesale, social media and still life flat images
- Ability to perform a task in masking, knocking-out background, compositing, cleaning, cloning, cropping, and QA
- Executing brand-retouching direction across all imagery
- Color correcting, ensuring color consistency between image assets
- Work well under pressure and flexibility to switch focus between multiple projects
- Adapt with changing workflow and last minute changes/requests
- Apply critical thinking skills to solve problems
- Track progress of all ongoing projects in Excel and Google doc or other PMO platform
- Maintain image archive and/or digital asset file naming organization in accordance with established processes.
Required Experience
- Degree in Photography, Graphic Design, or specific education in digital photographic imaging principles and techniques, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience working in a high-volume retouching house, eCom retail or photo studio
- Experience with fashion, editorial, and still life retouching and post-production
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Bridge
- A MUST, knowledge & understanding of Frequency Separation retouching technique
- Strong and polished retouching skills
- Minimum knowledge in basic Capture One processing, exporting, and cropping
- Experience with resizing files for web, social and print
