About Stepful:
Stepful is reimagining allied healthcare training by offering affordable, online, instructor-led, and AI-supported programs that help learners—especially those from underserved communities—launch high-demand healthcare careers.
In addition to our direct-to-consumer training, Stepful partners with leading healthcare institutions to build talent pipelines and address the growing shortage of allied health workers. Our graduates, including Medical Assistants, Pharmacy Technicians and more, go on to work at major employers like CVS, NY-Presbyterian, and Walgreens.
Stepful is backed by Y Combinator, Reach Capital, and AlleyCorp, with a recent $31.5M Series B led by Oak HC/FT. We were named the #1 EdTech company in the U.S. by TIME for 2025.
We’re unlocking the full potential of the global workforce—improving access to quality healthcare for everyone, everywhere.
Our values:
We credit much of our success to our exceptional team. We’re looking for mission-driven individuals who thrive in fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environments, and embody our four core values:
Care first: We do whatever it takes for our students to succeed.
Learn quickly: We test, learn with data, and iterate.
Build together: We win when we rely on each other.
Own it: We show up, take initiative, and show pride.
The Role
We are looking for a highly organized and goal-driven Pharmacy Technician Externship Development Representative to help grow and manage our externship site network. In this role, you’ll focus on identifying and establishing partnerships with pharmacies and healthcare organizations that can provide high-quality externship opportunities for our Pharmacy Technician students.
This role is critical to ensuring we have the capacity to support our growing student base with valuable, relevant, and diverse externship placements. You will be the front line of outreach and relationship-building, ensuring our partners are aligned with Stepful’s mission and standards.
What You’ll Do
Identify and reach out to potential pharmacy externship partner sites, introducing Stepful and establishing new partnerships.
Maintain accurate records in internal dashboards and CRM systems, tracking outreach, agreement status, and partnership details.
Act as the primary point of contact for potential partner sites, addressing questions and facilitating a smooth onboarding experience.
Build and maintain strong relationships with externship sites by understanding their capacity, preferences, and placement processes.
Collaborate with the Student Success and Learning Operations teams to ensure student placements are successful and meet Board of Pharmacy requirements where applicable.
This Job Is for You If You:
Have 1+ years of experience in outreach, partnership development, account coordination, or a similar role focused on external communications.
Have familiarity with pharmacies, healthcare organizations, or pharmacy technician training/education (preferred).
Are comfortable doing cold outreach and building relationships over phone and email.
Are self-motivated and driven, with the ability to quickly learn and jump into the role.
Bring strong communication skills and high attention to detail.
What You’ll Need:
A reliable computer that can handle multi-tasking among many online tools and video-conferencing software.
High-speed internet.
A quiet, professional workspace.
