This position is 100% remote and can be located anywhere in the United States.Position SummaryAs the Clinical Program Manager in Specialty Pharmacy, you will partner with Specialty Trade and pharmaceutical manufacturer clients to conceive and deliver services that differentiate CVS Health as the premier Specialty Pharmacy provider.  Facing dynamic customer needs and an evolving specialty landscape, you will strategically design the patient journey and innovate on value-enhancing omnichannel product delivery solutions related to your specific disease portfolio.  You will develop novel strategies to drive value, secure access to limited distribution drugs, successfully launch Specialty drugs across the enterprise, and execute on company initiatives.  You will serve as the enterprise clinical subject matter expert for an assigned set of therapies and stay abreast of your portfolio pipeline along with trends in the marketplace to ensure CVS Health has programs that optimize patient care and clinical outcomes.  You will collaborate with Trade, Pharmacy Trade Product, Specialty Operations, Account Management, Professional Practice, Prescriber Sales and other entities to ensure alignment of services, review results and identify opportunities to optimize patient, physician, and pharma relationships.  A strong clinical background with a high level of independent judgement and initiative is required. Excellent interpersonal skills, a strategic vision, critical thinking, the ability to prioritize, and creativity will aid in your success to drive new opportunities for the business. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Develop relationships and enhance partnerships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and key decision makers
  • Present clinical services and therapy capabilities to external individuals or groups to secure product access and gain incremental market share, effectively adjust presentation style to meet to the needs of a virtual or live audience
  • Generate omnichannel pharmacy care delivery solutions aimed at enhancing value for CVS enterprise and business partners based on evolving marketplace trends
  • Create best-in-class, customizable patient adherence programs that deliver improved clinical outcomes
  • Serve as the clinical expert on key business initiatives and provide insight into strategic planning  
  • Analyze clinical trends and projections to formulate concepts for new programs, products and services while collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather feedback and actionable insights
  • Utilize market intelligence, clinical trends/projections, client requests and organic innovation to develop new and novel pharmacy care programs/products that optimize patient care and pharmacy services
  • Work cross-functionally with enterprise partners to identify enhanced value opportunities for strategic manufacturer accounts
  • Creatively leverage enterprise assets to create opportunities and programs to enhance and support our manufacturer client offerings
  • Manage and optimize assigned therapy portfolio throughout the product life cycle, including drug launches, creation of patient and prescriber centered solutions, solutions for barriers and driving continuity of care
  • Present market intelligence, trend results and continued opportunities at ongoing client-facing business reviews as necessary
  • Monitor the Specialty pharmaceutical pipeline and maintain full knowledge of all specialty pipeline products within respective therapeutic portfolio seeking FDA approval over the next 3 years
  • Deliver internal and external customer clinical education and awareness across Specialty therapies.  Serve as a clinical resource and partner for enterprise colleagues through therapy awareness programs, operational trainings and other clinical education training(s)
  • Elevate market eminence through participation in key industry conferences, staying abreast of market developments, and learning from industry thought leaders
  • Engage with the specialty pharmacy patient community to better understand patient and prescriber challenges to create unique solutions that enhance and improve on their experience with CVS Specialty

Required Qualifications
  • Active pharmacist license that is in good standing  
  • 8+ years of healthcare related experience 
  • 3+ years of Clinical Specialty Pharmacy experience required   
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel  
  • Ability to travel  approximately 15% of the time

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and communication skills 
  • Strong presentation skills are critical for conveying ideas, persuading audiences, and engaging with stakeholders
  • Effectively adjust presentation style to meet to the needs of a virtual or live audience
  • Ability to work across boundaries and collaborate with internal colleagues and external clients 
  • Strong clinical background with an aptitude to learn about new therapies and drug products 
  • High level of independent judgment and initiative 
  • Strategic judgment, critical thinking and creativity 
  • Knowledge and confidence to present and interact with leadership and large audiences 
  • Strong project management skills including attention to detail, follow-up and working to tight deadlines

•         Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$135,575.00 - $228,800.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
