Position Summary:
The Sr. Analyst, Pharma Reporting will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of pharmaceutical manufacturers' (Pharma) contractual reporting requirements and providing post-production support for Pharma's data and reports. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and redlining Pharma's data reporting contracts to ensure that reporting requirements, including data quality and specifications, are clearly understood and adequately captured within the contract.
  • Assessing the feasibility of delivering data according to Pharma's contractual needs by conducting necessary research within our Specialty Pharmacy systems and collaborating with our Specialty data systems partners.
  • Collaborating with CVS Specialty & Retail Trade teams to understand upcoming data project needs and product pipelines while providing relevant updates on project implementations and support activities.
  • Creating and maintaining business requirements documentation based on Pharma's contractual data specifications and ensuring that the requirements are clearly communicated to the project team and other internal stakeholders.
  • Acting as the designated point of contact for Pharma and their third parties (HUBs and Data Aggregators) during contract redlining, project implementation, and ongoing support of Pharma's data and reports. Leading any data-related discussions and addressing data-related questions.
  • Thoroughly reviewing and investigating any data issues, concerns, or questions in a timely manner, and ensuring that any data issues are addressed according to contractual SLAs.
  • Partnering with external and internal teams as needed to address data questions and issues.
  • Conducting root cause analysis of incoming data concerns that do not comply with Pharma contracts to remediate the issue and prevent it from occurring again in the future.
  • Executing and modifying simple and moderately complex SQL queries to combine, parse, extract, and manipulate data to aid in the analysis and resolution of complex data requests/issues.
  • Collaborating with the development team and Account Managers to analyze and collect meaningful metrics and insights for Quarterly Business Review meetings with Pharma.
  • Closely tracking Pharma reporting projects/intake for successful delivery.
  • Handling other responsibilities that may arise related to servicing data requests for our Pharma clients.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Creating and reviewing business and technical documents and contract language pertaining to data reporting requests by pharmaceutical manufacturers to demonstrate understanding of data commitments and implications for the business (15%). Ensuring production inquiries are resolved in a timely manner, reviewing, problem-solving, and conducting root cause analysis of incoming data concerns that do not comply with Pharma contracts (20%). Analyzing data and reporting information from data feeds and warehouses to determine the feasibility of data reporting requests from pharmaceutical manufacturers (10%). Tracking project implementations or intake for data-related changes (30%). Executing proper maintenance and centralized storage of key project documentation, including business requirements, technical specifications, design documents, test plans, etc. (10%). Writing and executing simple and moderately complex SQL queries to combine, parse, extract, and manipulate data to aid in data reporting (15%).

Prior Work Experience:

  • [P] 2+ years of experience working in a client-facing role.
  • [R] 2+ years of experience working in a professional services environment with clients/stakeholders, preferably in reporting requirements, data reconciliation, and root cause analysis.
  • [P] 1+ years of healthcare experience.

Required Skills:

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience reviewing and redlining contractual documents.
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of Teradata, Google Big Query, Snowflake, and Oracle databases.
  • Strong working knowledge of data reconciliation, reporting, and analysis.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$46,988.00 - $112,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
